The Laurels Retirement & Assisted Living

My dad was at The Laurels Retirement & Assisted Living. They were very friendly, professional, and nice. He had a studio, about 280 square feet. It was adequate for him because he didn't need a bed. He sleeps in his recliner. The place was very clean. Also, the dining area was kept neat and clean. However, he was not very happy with the pricing. They're not cheap, but none of them are. He did many religious services on Sundays and helped with the Bible study class that met once a week.

The facility is clean and the staff is wonderful and genuinely caring. I even like the food there! Also, all the rooms are equipped with a sink. There is a library that has a piano in it. The members also seem to love sitting in the rocking chairs by the fireplace. There is a room with fitness equipment and a big screen t-v. There are plenty of courtyards Overall, I always have a pleasant experience. The rooms are rather large and my mamaw has room for a full size bed, a love seat, a recliner, a night stand, a dresser, and a side table. And there is still plenty of open space. The rooms really are wonderful. Also, the whole place has wooden floors, even the rooms. There are quite of few couples in the place as well and they share a room. All of the people living there are nice and the nurses are patient and kind. The residents are allowed to leave as long as they check out. My mamaw's boyfriend often comes to take her out to shop, or to eat, or travel. There are no real restrictions on when and where residents are allowed to go.
