"MY HUSBAND WAS ONLY WITH HERITAGE HALL FOR 3 WEEKS BEFORE PASSING. THE CARE OF THE STAFF, THEIR ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND THE WAY THEY TOOK MY FEELINGS INTO CONSIDERATION WAS WAY ABOVE AND BEYONE ANY EXPECTIONS I MIGHT HAVE HAD. IT WAS A TRAGIC TIME YET THEY MADE EVERYTHING EASIER. DURING THIS COVID TIME, IT CAN'T BE EASY BUT THE STAFF DOES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE, NOT JUST FOR THE RESIDENT BUT FOR THE FAMILY AS WELL. "My mother is in Serenity Place. It is clean, nice, roomy, and they take state pay. The staff is very kind, very personable, and there's a lot of staff for the number of people staying there. I have nothing but great things to say. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of frills and activities. My mom says the food is decent and good."

"My mother liked the people that worked in Harmony House, but it was mostly for more severe elderly people than what she needed. It was for people that was more bedfast and had to be fed. She didn't have anybody to talk to except for the workers that were there, who were really nice. It was very small, with only 10 residents. The staff was good. It was a house broken down to small bedrooms, and you had to share bathrooms. You either eat in the living room or the little dining room, which had one table. They didn't have activities. She was just out of place; she didn't belong there. She was there for about four or five months. "

"Francis Marion Manor is primarily a senior care center. For this reason, it is often difficult for my stepmother to get the care she deserves. Although the staff is usually very friendly and caring, I feel that Francis Marion Manor would be a better facility if it could get the funding it so desperately needs. However, my great-grandmother, who is also a resident finds the facility and the activities provided to be quite enjoyable. I feel that the physical therapy could be better equipped. As stated above, it is really more of a place for senior citizens. But I all residents, senior or not, could be better cared for if Francis Marion Manor had a more complete physical therapy center. A bigger staff could also alleviate some pressure of the current nurses, who have a large patient base to deal with. All in all it's an adequate place for seniors, but sometimes is a very bleak and uninviting assisted living center, due in part to the lack of funding and nursing staff. "
