I have lived at Augusta Woods for three years. This is an independent living facility. As such, there is no food service, housekeeping, etc. Several residents need help with mental and physical tasks, detracting from the active lifestyle advertised. There are constant issues with no hot water, excessive false fire alarms and inoperable elevators. Additionally, the property overall is declining. Each repair, entertainment calendar, landscaping, practically everything, is of lesser quality than before. These are the cheapest 55 plus apartments in the area, but no longer of a quality that makes sense to live here. I won’t be renewing my lease.

My dad moved to Augusta Woods in Spring. It's a 55+ community, and it's nice. The staff is very helpful. They know just about every resident there. They're not full. They don't have everybody in all of the apartments yet because it's fairly new, so they kind of know everybody pretty well. He is in a good size apartment; it's about 750 sq ft. For amenities, they have an exercise area, a swimming pool, a TV room, a poker room, a craft room, and a snack room. They have lots of stuff there. They don't provide meals though. You have to cook them in your apartment. It's pretty spacious, and the people that work there know all the residents by name.
