"Retirement Ranches was really good. It's a regular nursing home, and they were really wonderful. My mother stayed there for four days, and she died there. It's a very nice place that was pretty well maintained. The staff was exceptionally caring and helpful. They actually bent over backwards for my mom moving in there, and basically the day she moved in, she turned for the worst. They were really understanding, compassionate, and really did a good job. Her room was not bad, which was for two people. My mom and dad moved in there, and they were in the same room. It was fairly clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing. We had hospice coming in too. They had lots of activities for people to participate in. The food was pretty good and well prepared. "

"My dad has been staying here. It's a nursing home. The process was really easy and he likes it there. There are a lot of activities like bingo and movie nights, so he seems to be enjoying them. It's nice and clean too. All of the staff are very friendly and very helpful. Right now, he's got a single room, but it's sort of a double room, so at some point he will have another person in there. It's a regular type of nursing home where you usually have two people in the same room. He has his own bathroom though. They do have a memory care wing too, I just don't know anything about it. I know that they have a physical therapy room, but since my dad doesn't need physical therapy he hasn't used that. They do have some outside areas but I haven't seen any of them because, with COVID, I haven't gone and visited. Now that they've got it opened back up for visitations, you just have to call and let them know that you're going to visit, and you have to either be fully vaccinated or have a negative test in the last 14 days to be able to come in. You have to wear PPE right now too. Then we're supposed to just go and visit in his room so we are not around the other residents. He says the food is great and he's gained weight."

"This is a place I would not put my dog! No sheets on the beds. People are not taken care of in any visible way. They are fed and that is all. I work for residential care facilities in California. They would be closed down here. I think it is terrible to treat the elderly this way. I intend on finding out what Texas state laws are for nursing facilities and see what I can do about the non-care at this facility. "
