"When walking it was a bit taken back, there are a lot of people using this facility! Unfortunately, it is very similar to what a hospital would feel and smell like. All patients are allowed 2 cigarettes an hour and that is just not enough for my grandmother! She very much dislikes that rule and can become fussy with the staff about it. Also, she does not have her own room, but shares a room with another woman. Furthermore the staff does not closely monitor what she eats and she is very likely to eat far too many chocolates! That being said, they do have a wonderful speech therapist there who is just a delight to work with. She treats everyone as equal and even jokes with my grandmother who just loves that kind of gestures. So, overall I do with that the actual place was nicer, but I do feel that the staff and the people that work with the patients are worth while. If I could I would have her at least have her own room and more frequent cigarette breaks, she is a grown woman after all! "

I'm qualified to write a review, because i've been here for 5 plus years, i know everybody, have a relationship with everybody, I'm Highly Intelligent, & most of all, I CARE ABOUT PEOPLE(.) Now i can honestly say that they're some Great People here, that also cares about people, from the Nurses, Cna's, Activities Dept. "Olivia", Social Services "Kevin" Asst. D.O.N. "Adam, Kelsey, & Shalyn", again: "all of the Nurses, & CNA's" They really are some Great People, i've saw them go out of their way to help others, but they ALWAYS put us Residents First. Now the only problems here is the kitchen-"which they are working on", & the Higher-Ups-"Because we've had 4, or 5 D.O.N.'s in the last year"-"But i gotta give them a lil break on the short-staffing, because of the COVID-19", But from the Housekeepers, to the Laundry Dept. All of them are GOOD PEOPLE....... AND I LOVE IT HERE, YES IT CAN BE BETTER, BUT THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE IT EVEN BETTER THAN IT IS, & I LOVE & RESPECT THEM FOR THAT HERE AT "Huntsville Manor""

"My dad was a resident there and they took very good care of him. If you wait around for a few minutes after having a concern they remedy the situation. All nursing homes have been having a shortage of CNA's. They don't get paid enough anywhere, but they work hard at their jobs and they love the residents like their own family members. In this POST-Covid world we live in, it is hopeful to see the CNA's, nurses, social workers, and Nurse Practitioners seeing the people in a timely manner. I am thankful for how my dad was treated at Cumberland Village."
