I have had a family member in Beechtree for more than one year now. I could not be more pleased with the care she receives. I am extremely pleased with the overall cleanliness and conditions of the facility. The staff are very helpful, professional and polite. My loved one likes the facility, staff and is very content there. I highly recommend looking at Beech Tree Manor if you are looking for a nice nursing facility.

The room are decorated with very old furniture and broken dressers. 2 people share most rooms and a toilet and sink. They schedule the residents for showers usually 2 times a week. My aunt was complaining of pain in her bottom area and wanted a shower. They told her she was not scheduled till the next day. Most staff are friendly but not anxious to give help when asked. You have to keep asking to receive help. They keep the soiled linen and depends in a cart on each hall which makes the entire area smell horrible. My aunt keeps her window open even when cold to help rid her area of the smell. They do not keep the residents water jugs filled. I personally got several residents water who would call out as I walked past their rooms. I observed an aide wearing the same gloves she worn in one room with a restricted sign on it to a room across the hall. Very poor hygiene used to take care of residents. You should visit often with your relative to assure they are getting the care they need.

We chose this facility because my husband was in Jellico Hospital and Beech Tree Manor is just right there next door. It was easier to take him in there than go across a couple of counties. It was just the location at that point in time. They were really, really good. My husband was in the room most of the time by himself and then later on they did have somebody in there with him. They have a good environment actually, but he couldn't participate so much. They have church services and have seniors coming in. They have very nice people there.
