Last week, we toured Zimmerman Place at SpiritTrust Lutheran. My brother likes it. The only problem is that there is no shade. That bothers him a lot because he likes to walk or sit outside in the shade and just relax. There is a place to sit out on the front, but it's a small place. The people who toured me around were fine. We were talking with both the director and a new guy that just started, and they both seemed very good and very knowledgeable as to what they were doing. The room was small. The upkeep was very good. I did not see very many staff, just the other lady who was making the beds and cleaning the rooms. We walked past her, and she was busy doing that. We've seen people who were living there, and everybody seemed to be busy. They have a deck out on the back. They don't think anybody gets out there. It's a beautiful space for the people to sit, but they can't go out there. It runs around the full length of the back of the place, and it's a nice place. The parking space was good, too.

Spiritrust Lutheran is very expensive but very convenient. The rooms are relatively small, they don't have any area other than just the bedroom and the bathroom. My mother-in-law is in the assisted living part. The dining area is closed because of the pandemic, the residents get their meals in their rooms. When it opens up, they will have different activities like bingo and book clubs, things that she would probably like to participate in. They don't really have them yet, but when they're able to, it sounds like it will be pretty good.

We got my mother-in-law moved into Shrewsbury Lutheran Retirement Village. It's great. We love it and we're very happy with it. The room is very nice and roomy. My mother-in-law likes it. I haven't tried any food yet, but it's a nice presentation, and she seems to like it. She hasn't gotten too involved in the activities yet, but they offer a lot of them. They do crafts, trivia, and baking. They have special rooms for the activities and a gathering room where they do movies and church services. They also have a beauty shop and the bank comes in there every so often. Value is a five because other facilities we inquired about were more expensive.

My mom is living in an assisted living facility called Zimmerman's. It is run by the Lutheran Church. She has received excellent care there. The staff really knows her , me and my brother and seem to be genuine concerned about her welfare. It is on eof the few places that I don't worry about her. I know if there is a problem, they will notify me right away.
