This facility itself is broken up into several different homes where single or multiple clients (2-4) with acquired brain injuries lived with staff members watching at varying shifts which ran from 11pm-6am 6am-4pm and 4pm-11am. Certain individuals who were not completely dependent only received care for certain hours of the day. During the tour we were showed around to different houses and shown daily progress logues for staff members as well as detailed descriptions of what kind of brain damage (aphasia) each client had. Staff members would take clients for shopping trips three times a week, as most of them have thier own money. Monthly, they take clients on large outings (the month I visited they were taking them to a park). My only complaint was that the management seemed a bit aloof (I caught one smoking on the property) Overall, however, the staff seemed very well knowledge and explained that daily activities include feeding, bathing, taking clients to the bathroom, and otherwise assisting in other daily activities.
