"My mother went to respite care at Quality Life Services. The staff was very nice. I didn't try the food, but she ate well there. They had activities. It's an older building. It wasn't as nice, but I didn't have any problems with her care. She did really well there. The facility wasn't terrible, but it was older and worn-out looking. They were a little more expensive because I think they're classified as a nursing home, but as far as nursing homes go, I think it's fair. I know they're cheaper than some of the others in the area."

"I saw The Caring Place for my mother. The only issue was I thought we were pretty clear that we were looking for the nursing home part of it, but they gave us a tour of the assisted living. There was nobody available for the nursing home part of it, but we got the information. They gave us a tour of the place, and we saw some of the shared facilities. The place was very clean. It looked very well-staffed and well-organized. We were just pleased with everything we saw. If the need arose, it would definitely be one of the places we would be comfortable having my mom be a resident there. The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. She was very upfront with the fact that she couldn't give us the information about what we actually needed. She put us in contact with the person who could help us. She gave us all the contact information. The rooms they showed us were all single rooms, which were their short-term stays. Their long-term stay rooms were doubles. They were very clean and did not smell like a nursing home, which was wonderful."

"We took a tour of Oakwood Heights - Oil City Presbyterian SeniorCare. They greeted us promptly and took us out in the courtyards. It's multi-level. It was very clean and looked very well-kept. We were very pleased with that. It was probably where my mom would choose to go, if there was availability at the time. The facility was very clean and very well-staffed. They showed us how they accommodate food needs because my mom is diabetic. They went through how the day before an individual person comes through, sits down, and goes through meal choices. If what is offered isn't something that they like, they accommodate and make whatever is within the limits that the resident would want. We're pleased about that. It's also built into a hillside. Even though it's about four stories high, you can walk out at ground level on each floor. We were on the fourth floor, and there was an outside ground-level courtyard. It's very bright and very well-maintained. There are places with seating, and they can do flower gardening. They plan all kinds of things to get the residents involved. We saw the activity director doing all kinds of activities with them, including bingo. They've also done COVID precautions, like playing bingo from their rooms and having cards with prizes going up and down the halls. It's very well-organized and very upbeat. It wasn't like they were putting on a show for us. This place was probably our first choice."

"Mom's only been there for 2 weeks and it's been a much smoother transition than I expected. The staff is so caring and helpful, the Director incredibly easy to get in touch with, her room is private and spacious and includes a kitchenette, and she keeps telling me about her delicious meals. When I had car trouble and couldn't make it there for her birthday, the residents had a signed card for her and sang to her. And that was two days after she moved in!! What an answer to all my prayers for me and Mom!"

"Last time I was there the room was not clean.spider webs and spider eggs around the inside of the window. Laura was the best. She really cared. She went far above her job to care for my friend. I wish I could remember the name of a couple other people there with the same attitude. I hope they’re still there. "

"Clean, beautiful, good staff to patient ratio, caring highly efficient staff. Inncredibley good food, accommodate any diet, I am/was on cardiac, diabetic and renal. Still plenty of meal and snack choices. Big appetites are able to add portions to their trays. Staff seems to anticipate your every daily need with smiling faces."

"We've moved my mother to The Pines at Grove Manor. The staff is very helpful, the facility was very clean, open, and welcoming. It's a very nice facility. The room that we saw, I wouldn't call it spacious, but it's adequate. There's enough space for her bed, she's in double occupancy, and the rooms are clean and spacious. They have a beauty salon, and crafts room, there's got a chapel there, they offer more stuff for the patients to do. They've got a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, and a speech therapist on staff. They've also got a gym where they do physical therapy in the facility. They have several patios, and a couple of them have like water sprays and bird feeders. There are one or two covered patios so that you can sit even if it's raining outside. The staff answered all of my questions."

"My Grandfather was a resident at this facility from 2003 until 2008. The facility itself is clean, and the rural surroundings are really a sight to behold. This is one of the cleanest and most beautiful facilities that I have ever seen, and the staff is generally a pleasure to get along with. They would allow us to plan special events for the residents at Christmas time each year. They were also accomodating in terms of allowing family members to bring in extra items for the residents such afs food and clothes. The only complaint I would have would be the actual location of the facility. It is located deep in the woods, and you have to travel on a narrow dirt road for several miles to get there. There are many turns you have to take, and the directions are confusing. The GPS does not always take you there. So in that regard, it is very private; almost too private and secluded. But overall it was a good experience, as my Grandfather was treated respectfully and comfortably in the last years of his life. "

"The place was the nicest home I've been in. Doesn't smell like peeothers said. Activities dailyand church available if you need it. Staff was excellent. Became friends with two great cna"s. If you rang the bell they came right away.breakfast need to change.. I was there for rehab.jeremy and pt. staff never gave up on me.love all of you.wish my insurance would let me stay longer for rehab."

"The staff care givers, nurses and the doctor are all very nice and good to my father. They serve good food. I suggest that they give the residents better portion sizes and ample amount of time to finish their meal. Even the smaller portions are taken away from them too quickly. Most residents don’t or can’t say that they are not done. They already have the plates pulled away. To me, this is a big deal. For some, meal time is the one thing they have to look forward to. Don’t take it away from them. I believe it would be the kitchen staff clearing the tables."
