"I'm a resident here, and it's very good. It has 72 residents, so it's not huge, and everyone knows everybody. They have bingo, movies, bowling, pool, and go to the casino, shopping, and restaurants. They have prayer service, Scrabble, board games, coffee hour, and monthly meetings with the residents to try to improve their activities. They have medical staff, who are pretty good and do their best to take care of our needs."

"I took my friend over at Rockport Senior Living, but she was stubborn. She said it was too small, but it seemed fine to me. They had a dining room and a small room with the TV. She'd be pretty well set there. She just didn't think it was big enough. It's a nice facility. The people there were friendly. It was a good place. They had elevators and nurses on duty. It would be a nice place for her."

"The Normandy was lovely. It was a very nice facility. I've been there twice, and everyone had been very friendly. The rooms were beautiful. When we went there, they had lovely cookies. They had a chef, so those looked quite good. I absolutely recommend this community to others. "

"I was very impressed with Vitalia Senior Residences at Strongsville. It was lovely. Everything was nice. We have friends that have gone there and they were extremely happy there. It's a good place. It's just a little bit too much Big Brother with wrist bands and things in the rooms. We're not ready to be under such close scrutiny, and it takes away a lot of your privacy. They have no facilities for cars except for them to be parked outside. There's a pool, there are games, and there's a bus to take you to the casinos and other excursions. The staff member that took care of us was very pleasant and very informative."

"We visited Rose Senior Living - Avon. It was a good tour, and it's a nice facility. We were able to go through pretty much everything there and see apartments and stuff like that. We went to a couple of places, like the dining hall and cafes, some meeting rooms, that sort of stuff. The place is very clean. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were modern but small. The facilities were nice. They had a lot of nice rooms. It was a very comfortable feeling. Seems like they have a lot of activities, it has very much a community feel to it. They have a much more of an apartment feel than a nursing home."

"I like that they really care about the residents. They get to know them on a first name basis. They check on them, find out what they like and don't like. They try and encourage them to join in activities. They add new and interesting things to see and do. The staff are very friendly. They get to know family members as well as residents. The rooms are really a good size. Housekeeping helps the residents keep them clean. From church to cards, bingo, movies, happy hour and lots of outing there is always something going on. They even got my mom on a chair volleyball team. They have fun. The best part is they feel at home. This is their home not some awful place I have to be. They feel secure, and they know someone is always there if they need it."

"My wife has already moved in to Cardinal Court. The staff was very helpful. I remember talking to her and she called me back and she gave me good advice, which was very helpful. The staff was good. They're off the charts. There's no one near them. I looked at nursing homes and memory care facilities, and there was no one near them. They showed me the rooms virtually. I did the virtual and I got all of the dimensions. They showed us through a video how the furniture fit and where the TV was and all that. It was great. The rooms were really good sized compared to others. My wife has a private suite to herself. I met everybody. I met the marketing person, the administrator, the medical director, and a couple of the nurses. They were phenomenal. When you get done, you have no questions. You feel good about putting your person there. I already sent three other people there who are looking for places. They have already set up meetings with two of them. It looks like it's going to work out for them because that's exactly what they were looking for. I see the menu every day. I get updates to tell me what my wife participated in and how she slept. No other place offered what they did; they didn't even come close. You could tell that their staff wants to work there. For people who can afford Cardinal Court, this is where you want to send them and they will not let them down. They're great."

"I toured and it was great. They have great representatives there. She showed me the rooms and stuff like that. In my opinion, it's really at the limit of how far I want to drive; it's about forty minutes away. It takes me an hour to get down to where I'm at right now. I have some reservations about driving that far. The other reservation is the fact that it is truly independent living. If you want somebody to come in, you have to hire somebody to do that. Basically, you get a room, you get three square meals a day, and they do your laundry, which is good. They have free laundry so they could do their own personal stuff. It's a nice place, and has nice people, but I just think it's a little too far away. The room they showed me was like a studio. It had one living room and one bedroom. There's nothing negative about it, just that it's too far out, and it's independent living. They had a great representative -- I can't remember her name -- but she was excellent. She explained things thoroughly, and she called back the next day to see if I had any more questions. I didn't see too much of the activities because I was really more concerned about the condition and what it looked like. It seemed to me that they are comparable to everybody else. There's only so much you can do. You could play cards, and they offer to take you places, but I was looking more at the physical appearance of the place. They answered all the questions I asked, and it seemed like a nice place. I didn't really have a problem with it. It's just too far away."
