Beckett House at New Concord

Please do not put your loved ones in the Beckett House in New Concord Ohio. Call buttons go unanswered for more than 30 minutes. Patients never get their showers when they are supposed to. The meals they get are awful and always cold. They serve cool aid for juice. They are so understaffed. New workers work for a couple of days and quit. Underpaid I suppose. The people that work in the front office’s are very uncaring, especially the director of nursing Haleigh, she is one nasty person. The people in the front office should do their job and check on workers to make sure they are doing their jobs..

Well they were known for the great care, after having to have my husband in there just this year for rehab I would not send any of my elders here for care. There is not much communication between the management and the staff, they are very understaffed, the techs do not tell the nurses when a paient needs something (ie iv's need to be taken off). The food is sub par and always cold by the time it reaches the people down the halls. And that is just the beginning. Then the discharge was not as expected they were to have a wound vac ordered for him and I had to do it on the following Monday. While he was there they were redoing all the floors in the entire building....at night (after 9pm) while the people were trying to sleep , they had several loud machines they were running. I am sorry but there needs to be some major changes before I would consider sending of my family there again.

My Grandma was a resident at the Beckett House and I was impressed. Management and caretakers was very caring and friendly and grandma was well taking care off, Beckett House be my first choice if I ever need a rehab facility again.

I have parishioners that I visit at Beckett House. I feel their facility is excellent. They have a wing that is devoted to people with dementia and Alzheimer's. But the staff is not quite as strong and probably is not as caring.
