My husband was at The Madison Senior Living Community. You can come and visit anytime you want. They have activities, and you could have dinner or any of the meals you wanted at no cost. The facility was clean. They have caring people who work there. The staff members were glad to help you and were friendly. The food was good. They had bingo, euchre, and lunch once a month, where people from the community could come in and have lunch with them. They had coloring and puzzles sitting around everywhere. They had yards with flowers. You could have your hair done. They had whatever you needed.

I had previously researched many Assisted/Independent Living Facilities before coming home to The Madison. When I spoke with Amanda, the Community Outreach Coordinator; she answered all of my questions plus more. She shared that because of Covid 19 facility events look a little different; but the residents are still having fun! One of the huge plus's is that your monthly payment includes everything. There might be some very small extra's but we are thrilled with everything it does include. Other facility's I spoke with you had so many things you had to pay for separately but not at The Madison. Amanda told me about all the events they offer to the residents from Ladies Bingo, Social Gatherings, Cookouts, Birthday parties, holiday fun, parade's and so much more! One parade we just participated in this past weekend. We decorated our cars any way we wanted to show our love and support of our family members and then Amanda lead all of our cars past the residents who were sitting outside to view! The residents were cheering us on and loving being able to see their loved ones! It was such a heartwarming experience. When our Uncle moved in because of Covid; we were unable to bring his personal belongings into his studio apartment. So, Amanda and Mary Beth (Mary Beth is the special woman who over see's the independent/Assisted Living area) set up his apartment, along with Bryant (the best and sweetest maintenance man in London!). Amanda did Facetime and walked me through his studio apartment so that I could see the setup and if I wanted anything moved; she moved it for me! I felt like I was right in there with our Uncle. The apartment is clean and charming; it's the perfect size. Communication with the staff is outstanding. They immediately return a call or send a text. I never worry at all which is the best peace of mind. After the parade, we sat on the front porch and got to social distance visit with our Uncle. They made sure everyone was wearing a mask! He told us that he loved the food, he's met some new friends but best of all; he loved it there! That's all we needed to hear. A BIG thank you to everyone at The Madison; you've given us peace of mind. Love to all

Madison House did a wonderful job transitioning my sister from another facility to their place. They work hard to make everyone feel like family. I would highly recommend the Madison House for any type of assisted living needs.

The Madison is absolutely above and beyond; they're really excellent. Everybody is pretty much on their toes, trying to go out of their way to make everything nice. The staff are super friendly. If you want something, they prepare it right away so you don’t have to wait. It’s pretty outside; the grounds are kept up. They have something going on all the time. They have many nice activities, like big picnics that even the community can come to , a big kitchen where residents bake cookies, and little shows. This is a private pay place.

My mother lived in the Madison Senior Community Center for almost a year. Over that time period we had quite a few issues with this facility. The communication and follow through of the staff and management was dreadful. She was given the wrong medications on two different occasions and underwent surgery without the staff or our family even knowing it was going to occur. The overall communication between her physicians, and the nursing staff there was always hit or miss. Her hygiene went down tremendously over this year, with the staff members dressing her in clothing that did not fit, or that had stains, or sometimes not dressing her at all, leaving her in her night clothes all day. Her clothes would come up missing and get mixed up with other residents clothing. Her room was a constant mess. Our family had to clean and sort laundry every time we visited. When there was an issue, it usually had to be addressed with management at least three to four times before it was rectified, if at all. The money a loved one pays to stay there is significant and does not match the quality of care they receive.

When my grandfather could no longer live at home, he moved into the Madison Senior Living facility where he resided until his death. While it was a difficult decision to move him out of his home, we quickly found that he enjoyed his time at the facility. He was able to do much more than he was at home due to the design of the facility and the care of the staff. The staff treated him with respect and dignity, much like he was their own family member. He was able to go on "outings" with the staff and other residents - boating and a visit to a casino/river boat were his favorites. We took him swimming at the local pool - something he hadn't been able to do in years. The food was excellent, and the residents ate at tables much like families do at home. It was such a relief to leave him there at night knowing that he enjoyed being there and the staff took such excellent care of him.
