"My mother is at Walnut Hills nursing home. They're very caring and it's a very friendly nursing home. When people are out of state, they have been calling and giving us updates on my mom so that we know what's been going on. They keep in touch with the families, too. It's a pretty big facility. They have different levels of care that are needed there. Assisted living is in one part, specialty care is in another part, the nursing home is in another part, and then they have condominiums for people who are just in the retirement stage. It's all kind of spread out in different sections, yet all right together on one campus. She's in transitional care right now just to get physical therapy and eventually will be moving to assisted living."

"This facility has the best care, clean rooms and a very positive staff. Their love for the patients/residents are far above any other facility of this type. "My grandfather needed home health care after his surgery to remove bladder cancer. He was also a stroke patient prior to that, losing his ability to speak and use his right arm and right leg, so he required a good deal of attention. The staff that came into the home was very friendly and was very open to the fact that he needed more attention than many of their other clients. They did not once complain or make a sour face when asked to do anything and they always did everything with a smile on their face. One afternoon, a nurse asked me if there was anything else she could do while she had some down time. This is a good measure of a successful company. The nurse did not want to be sitting around while she had some down time, she wanted to be helping out even more than she already was. "

"I toured Sycamore Run Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It had a high medical rating of five stars. It was clean. It's all on one floor. They have patios where my husband could be wheeled outside so he could enjoy the outdoors. Those were the big benefits. They also had a rehab facility and an exercise room where you could go and get some exercise. So, those were all the things that impressed me. I only spoke to one lady. She's the admissions, I think. She's very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. It looks like a very nice facility. It's not new, but it's very tastefully decorated. There weren't too many people running around. There was just one person we ran into who was walking in the hall, but it just looked like a friendly, comforting place. The rooms looked like they were okay. I think there are two people in the room."

"1) The call buttons only light up a light above there door. So no way to tell them what you need or if you need immediate assistance. You could lie there for a while before anyone see the light and comes to you. 2) My sister had lost her dentures before she went in & they fed her a regular diet. She would eat mashed potatoes or pudding. No one evidently charted her tray or it would have shown she was not eating. No other nutrients such as Ensure or broth were give to her. 3) Her condition was worsening & I had to ask ..really demand that she have blood test done. Right after she went into a high level ammonia level coma. Doctors come in before patients are awake & do a walk through. After ER here we had her transported to Ohio State where the Doctor stated she was suffering from malnutrition and that her condition was not being monitored or they would have increased her medicine to prevent the coma. 4) Place looks nice & is clean...but the medical care is horrible. My sister was there for rehabilitation & dies withing a few weeks of leaving there. "

"The third shift staff is very unprofessional and does nothing for the patients. A family member laid in bed for 5 hours and was not checked on once. She then pushed her call button and two hrs later, a first shift aid that had just arrived for work, came in her room and helped her. She was soaked and had urinated and had to lay in it for hours. This happened 10/13/23. This is unacceptable and unbelievable! Her entire experience has been like this. This Facility is not up to operating standards. I would not recommend sending any loved ones here. "

"This assisted living home is a new facility, but simply populated by those moved from the old county home. My grandfather is living there and he is given great care being a retired navy veteran. The staff consists of numerous RNs and doctors, with countless CNAs assisting with the day-to-day tasks. They have recently had to install a code on the door to prevent individuals from running out of the facility after an incident where an alzheimers patient stumbled out and almost got to the road in front of the building. "

"The one we chose for my stepmom is Red Carpet. The bottom-half of it is like nursing home, the top has assisted living. It was a nice place and adequate. It was very clean. It was more home-like atmosphere. It was chosen mainly for the price. It was the most affordable in the area. The other criterion is, she has a friend who lives there too. I thought that would help her out to know somebody there and have that relationship with them. We saw a room and it was adequate. It wasn't huge but it was a nice size. We dropped in without an appointment, but the staff was very nice and very accommodating. They did give me the name to follow up with, and I followed up with that lady and she answered all of our questions. With regards to activities, they did have bingo and they did have exercise center and wellness center. "

"My great aunt lived at the Apartments at Cedar Hill for several years. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. There were many activities for residents to participate in, such as singing groups and senior athletics. Families were always welcome to visit and share meals. There were decorations for holidays and the common areas were well-kept. The grounds are nice, with lots of tress and gardens. There is outdoor space for enjoyment and activities. Also, the rooms are very nice and accessible for those with limited mobility. They also provide transportation for residents who need to get medical care. I would recommend this facility to anyone who has a loved one needing special care. It is a nice place to live, and residents are well cared for. "

"My brother will be moving into Park Village Health Care. We had a brief tour, and because of the Covid, we weren't able to do the whole thing, but we liked what we were able to see. They were very friendly, very nice, and very accepting to making my brother feel very welcome. We got to meet some of the staff, and we found that it was hard to do that at other facilities. The facility is brand new, and beautiful. Covid limits things, so that made it kind of a little tough. The staff was very accommodating, and friendly. He will have a studio apartment there. They normally have outside entertainment, activities, an exercise time, a beauty shop, barber shop, and a cafe. They have visitation three times a week, but it's outside right now. They said they're looking into figuring out what they're gonna do for the inclement weather. We're hoping that they at least allow maybe a special room. Covid is a threat, but I think the isolation is a big threat as well. We know residents there. Based on their recommendation, they love it there so that has a lot to do with our decision as well. It's a new facility, it's bright, and there's a lot of light coming in. It's just a beautiful facility, and it's comparable in price."
