They work well with our hospice company, which also provides facility care for them as well there. My parents don't have any complaints about food. It is doing well. They have karaoke and bingo, and they serve three meals a day."

"Everything about Hanceville Nursing & Rehab is positive. There's not a negative thing about that place. It's wonderful. The staff is wonderful. Everything that they do, they do with love and care and my sister is just literally loving it. We are impressed with the accommodations and with the friendliness of the staff. They're loving people. It's privately owned. It is not a corporate-owned facility. The staff eats the same food as they feed their residents and my sister has had no complaints about it. When you look at what the other places charge and what she's got, it's worth the difference. They have a lot of activities. She has a nice-sized room and a very big, ample space in her bathroom. You can get in there with a wheelchair and turn around. The dining area is spacious. It would be very comfortable to go in there and eat by myself, too. I didn't see anything wrong with it. It's clean and the tables are spaced where they're not jammed together because people in wheelchairs and walkers can't maneuver if they're too close together."

"I recently spent 21 says in Summerford Rehab after 25 days in Huntsville Hospital. I was admitted for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Had it not been for the positive, upbeat, personalities of the staff it would have been very depressing. The nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, and aides) lead the charge on providing a great atmosphere for patients. Housekeepers projected friendly, caring contact when cleaning rooms. From the fantastic knowledgeable therapy staff, to social services and beyond proved themselves dedicated to their callings. One staffer in particular rose to the top in obtaining my respect and admiration. She went on dealing with issues which I faced even after I was discharged. This beautiful, caring heart took the patient care mission to a new level. KYLA, YOU ROCK! And, I highly recommend Summerford for the epitome of quality care. Thanks to everyone on the team."

"Background: My mother is in late stages Alzheimer's, has been a resident at TLC for 5+ years. Prior to moving my mother I explored six facilities using guidelines from the government, private sources and online reviews. I'm probably overly protective of my mother, a serious advocate for her, visit 2-3 times per week. I believe this to be important to her well-being and care. TLC's (Oneonta) in-house management staff is genuinely caring, accessible & available, pro-active and hands-on about residents in their care and the facility generally. This leadership extends to their entire staff exhibiting excellence in attitude and caring. This observation is long-term and first hand. The two person rooms have adequate space with individual built-in closets, adjustable heating/cooling, two TVs. Cleanliness is excellent. Laundry services are provided. The residents have the added benefit of a energetic Activities Director who maintains and implements a monthly calendar. She brings a smile and energy everyday. I've tasted various dishes served over time and the variety & quality has been good. There have been recent changes in food service I can't yet rate. One aside note that might be of interest: there are no unpleasant smells in the halls of this facility. Highly recommend ! Excellence and genuine caring. "
