My mom was in Bethel Lutheran Home and she received very good care. The physical therapy and other therapies that she received were excellent. She improved dramatically and she was able to go back home. She's been doing well and we have somebody just coming in to assist her with ongoing physical therapy, and she is doing well so far. The staff had been excellent. It was during COVID lockdown so I was only able to visit with her outdoors and I would only see a couple of people here and there. I saw the progress she was making from the outside looking in, and she adjusted well and she connected well with the staff. The care was very good. I know they were short-handed sometimes because of various issues, but I believe that overall her care was excellent. I got to go in on the day that we got her there. And it looked just fine; it's very clean so it's good. She complained about her food not being the greatest. A couple of times the food wasn't warm and there were times she couldn't eat it because it was hard to chew. The facility itself is old and could use some updating, and needed some repairs and upkeep.
