Hard to assign rating since I have nothing to compare it to.Not a review of the facility but more a review of the administrative/management staff. My unit was " "renovated " prior to my moving in. The a/c in the Master BR has not worked since I moved in 6 mos ago. I spoke with a longterm resident yesterday who told me she had not had a/c in her entire unit for 3 years!! And her unit faces west! Residents seem to be friendly. but are extremely "clique-ish". Even gave a party (at my own expense); all invitees came, ate, had a "great time " (or so I was told). Not a single reciprocal invite has been offered- not even a dinner invite. Food is great but dinner is lonely. Proper save seats at their tables so finding someone to eat with and make new friends hard to do . Plenty of activities, card games, day trips, etc-. Transportation by transport staff always timely and FREE locally. Card games usually done with a cadre of people who know each other and no newbies need apply. If your vision is not great and you have only rudimentary knowledge of the game rules, don't try -some people are adamant about their games and abilities and can be somewhat harsh. I think I am an ok person - I had a lot of friends where I lived before. But the people here are on a completely different plane of existence to me. Would I go someplace else if I could? Yeah, if I could afford to, but I am not sure that the same problems aren't in effect anywhere.

We moved to Grace Ridge in 2017 after a lot of research and site visits and are very glad we did. The facilities are excellent, the staff is beyond amazing and the area is full of beauty and things to do. We enjoy a small fitness center, an excellent library, two dining venues with good-to-excellent food and a variety of resident types from small apartments, to standalone cottages. The care we received during the pandemic went far above any reasonable expectations but is indicative of the dedication to care that the organization and staff have. If you are looking for a high quality small but friendly community, you can't go wrong with Grace Ridge.

I toured Grace Ridge. What impressed me was that as I was going around with the marketing person, he knew everybody by name. They knew him by name; they called him by his first name. They were talking with each other, and they were walking around together. He said that when you get there, they assign a buddy who takes you around and introduces you to people. They will introduce you to activities and stuff like that. It's very much community oriented, and that's part of what I was interested in. The dining area looked OK. It was a place to eat, and I'm sure that the people enjoyed being together; it was fine. There was a game room and billiards table. People were working on puzzles, playing cards, and just sitting around and talking. I saw a calendar with a bunch of things offered.

Grace Ridge is very, very nice. Their activity program is superior. Their facility is clean, airy, bright, and friendly. They have an exercise room, they have a beauty salon, and they have an activities director that plans field trips and local trips. There's a van dedicated to the patient's transportation to doctor's visits and to the exercise beyond the Grace Ridge. There are the swimming classes that are not located on-site, they have to go about 3 miles to get to the pool, so there's a dedicated van that carries them there, until Covid of course. Some of these have changed with Covid. For example, there was a private car that carried voters to vote during early elections. They allowed them to work with the local board of elections and they could vote in the car. A driver from Grace Ridge took them to the polls to vote.

Grace Ridge is very good. It's a lot smaller. They have about 200 people there. They've got one main building. They have some houses, and there are outbuildings. It is extremely well kept. I really like the smallness of it. However, my family's here in Nashville, and I've got a son with a family and a daughter with a family, and of course a lot of friends here. I have lived here since 1980. The staff was very good. They did a good job taking us around and showing me all the different sized rooms. They were willing to work with me. They were remodeling the room there. I really thought about getting that and I came close, but it didn't make any sense for me to leave Nashville. I didn't eat there, but I went by the dining room several times and talked to people that did live there. They said the food was really good. They have a couple of hobby rooms where you could do crafts. They have a bridge room and a game room. They have an area set up for movies and things like that. It's a neat place. I was very impressed with it. The staff was terrific. He's the overall manager, and he was really good.

We have been to Grace Ridge. It's a very nice place. They had a main structure with assisted living and skilled nursing, plus they had apartments and also offered cottages. It's a pretty large place. It's very expensive. My mother knows a lot of people who are there. This is also just a retirement facility for single elderly people. The staff was friendly. They have arts and crafts, exercise, trips, anything that you could imagine that someone with a higher income could afford to do themselves in their own residence. They provided transportation back and forth to doctors' offices. It's a little too expensive for most people, but they have good security. The food is excellent. We have friends that go and meet other friends who live there, and everyone seems to love the food there. It's specially prepared and it isn't like some other places I've been. It’s a notch above, really. That would be a place that we would consider.

Retirement living is at it's best at Grace Ridge; unbelievable view of the mountains; delicious food served restaurant style; response to maintenance needs extremely prompt; employees genuinely care about the residents. Recently adopted a pet residency policy. Current interior renovations promise to make it an even more beautiful place to call home. My friend couldn't be happier; can't wait til I move in.

My mother-in-law is 87 years old and is in an assisted living facility. Her room in this facility is much like a hospital room. It has nicer curtains and a matching bedspread, but the bed is a hospital type that is adjustable. Personal pictures and mementos are around the room to make it more homey. She has a small closet for the clothing that she brought with her. She has a private bathroom with a shower, but no bathtub. She has her own TV with cable. She has a landline telephone and the call button if she needs it. The facility is fully staffed with nurses and CNA's, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Her doctor or one of the doctors in his office stops by to check on her about once a week, unless she needs care sooner. She has limited mobility and requires, at minimum, a walker to get around. She selects her meals from a limited menu that is brought to her ahead of time. My wife and I think the food is prepared well and is of good quality, although my mother-in-law would like to have even greater variety. She can request drinks and snacks at any time, including ice creamHer initial investment in this facility was over $200,000 and her monthly costs are about $2500. This does not include the medical care provided by the doctor which she covers with Medicare and a supplemental policy.

Grace Ridge is located in Western NC with many apartments having a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge mountain range. They provide excellent services such as van transportation to grocery stores and doctor appointments. Residents have the option of maintaining a private car or using the facilities of Grace Ridge. There's a computer lab and a well stocked library, a dining room with chef providing food that rivals five star restaurants. Interesting concerts and events are planned for the community. If necessary, residents move into the healthcare facility with ease. The staff are knowledgable and very helpful.
