While I was a pt not only did they not give me showers , I regularly wasn't given my Dr ordered medicine. Pt lights are left unanswered and the food is aweful. If you care about your loved ones look elsewhere.

My mother died of Alzheimers in February 2012. She was a resident of Absolut for the last year of her life. The staff genuinely care for their patients and extend this care to the family as well. They treated my mother with dignity and respect. They frequently told me how much they liked her. Initially I had reservations about Absolut because they are located in a very small rural town. However, my reservations quickly vanished. I am forever grateful to them for everything they did for my mother. She was in great hands.

I had recently visited my uncle in this facility he is living there because he is dying from colon cancer. The few staff members I encountered were friendly. Passing through the halls there was a heavy stench of urine which made it seem as though patients were not being giving proper care for their bathroom needs. A lot of the room help lights were lit but I didn't hear or see any nurses around. My uncle had informed me that the nurses gave him more attention than other patients because he was a lot younger than most. This was very disturbing for me to hear because there were many elderly patients at this facility. To me this facility seemed to be under staffed. I had spent 3 hours and had only seen 3 staff members, 2 nurses and the front desk receptionist. I can only hope that they will hire more employees so that the patients can be given the proper care they deserve and are paying for. We are currently looking into other care providers for my uncle.
