My relative moved into the New Hampshire Veterans Home a year ago. It is excellent. He's enjoying it there. They do a lot for the veterans and have things going on all the time. He's got his own room, and he met a lot of people, so he's very happy. He is in a unit that is more like assisted living. It's a private room, but he shares a bathroom with one other person. The interaction with the staff is really good. They do a lot of daily things, and they do a lot of outings. They have had trips up to the White Mountains. They go to plays. They go to dinner. They have people come in and do cookouts. They have car shows. They have fishing derbies. They're constantly doing things for the veterans. The meals are very good. As for value for money, he pays some out of pocket. He gets some veterans' pension towards it, and then in New Hampshire, the state pays part of their fees. It's very reasonable.
