"Mountain View Healthcare was neither the worst or the best facility that we visited for my grandfather. It was chosen in the end because it was close to home and not a complete run down. The facility is clean and seemed to be ran by people who cared about the residents. Staff was friendly and would always try to take the time to talk to the family members. If not right when the question was asked, then as soon as they had the time. The nurses and aides were especially helpful, more so than the administrators and charge nurses, who seemed to be more interested in what outsiders thought of them than the actual residents themselves. They do have an excellent activities program with multiple times a day activities for the residents, including games, reading, and coffee hours. On Sunday they have nice church services ran by a different church every week from the community. Meal times were a nice change from what is usually seen in facilities like this. Great care was taken with likes and dislikes, as well as special requests. Even vegetarian options were offered to residents who choose to eat that way. Luckily my grandfather was able to come home after a few months on home health, but he said he wouldn't mind going there again if he had to. "
