"Cedargate Healthcare was very nice when you first entered the place. They had it decorated nicely and it's clean up front. The person that did the tour was very nice and very knowledgeable. They had a good variety of activities for the residents. The bathrooms were just small and I think that they had to put new tiles up there."

"My sisters are living in The Colonial Home. It's beautiful and clean, and the dining room has wonderful meals. I would feel comfortable sitting down with them and eating. The girls that work there are absolutely wonderful. They play card games in the dining room and have singing groups that visit. I'm very impressed with the place. The dining room has four round tables with four chairs at each table and a beautiful centerpiece. It's just very comfortable, soft, clean, and has good food. That's certainly where I want to go when I do have to go. "

"I toured Walnut Street Assisted Living. We had an appointment for 2:00, and there was nobody there to show us anything except for one of the aides. Everything was just in disarray. I feel so sorry for her because she was trying to do her best. There was nothing bad about the place. The room that they showed us, the lady had just moved out the day before, and they didn't have it cleaned up and ready, and so the staff was embarrassed. The aide that I talked to was supposed to pass the message on to somebody to be there at 2:00. She apologized, and she said she forgot to tell her, and so that's where that communication fails. It wasn't the aide's fault; she looked terribly overworked. The room they showed us could use a paint job. There were a couple of little holes in the wall that could have been fixed. As far as I could see, with the paint job and fixing a couple of holes, it looked fine to me. The staff showed me the dining room. They had space for watching television. She told me about the laundry room. From what I saw, the facility looked fine. There wasn't anything mentioned about appliances. There wouldn't be any rooms in the room itself. It was a small room, so the size of it was a drawback."

"Corning Therapy the staff is beyond helpful and set the standard for caring and being warm. The staff is well trained and educated with extraordinary customer service. The facility is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. The common areas are clean and well maintained. The rooms are good size and can accommodate touches from home to make their space cozy. The residents are clean and well cared for. They are bright and alert and are not isolated or left alone for long periods of time. Staff is attentive and makes sure all residents are part of activities and events. Those resident who cannot attend due to being bed ridden they are engaged on a regular basis to keep them from slipping into isolation and loneliness. The menu is well planned and the food is tasty. They offer many choices for variety and there are Vegetarian Options also. The residents I spoke to say the staff is lovely and they are compassionate. The residents stated they feel safe and secure. What more can you ask for from a facility you have to place a loved one. I would call them for a tour if you’re looking to place a loved one. The make helping Hands says it all. "

"Staff at Cedargate are so nice. They greet you with a smile. Residents seem happy and well taken care of. I have never had a serious problem while my aunt has been here. When I do, the administrator and Director of Nursing are always happy to help. I would trust the care here for any of my friends and family. "
