My mother has been there for 2 years almost and I feel so blessed with the carexgiven to her every day the sisters are so kind and loving And the Catholic atmosphere is all around ... That is so important to have access to the sacraments is a HUGE Blessing!! I speak for my 3 sisters we are very happy that our mother is there and so is Mom. God bless all the little sisters Maureen Marchetti

Jeanne Jugan Residence was fabulous. It was extremely well-run, very organized, and very reasonably priced. What I liked about it was that had options. Once you spend down your assets, they will work with helping you find government programs that will help assist you. They take veterans' benefits and will also take Medicare, which was huge for me because my mother doesn't have that much in assets. The amenities were beautiful. It was a very nice place with nice facilities. The rooms were a good size, and the staff that I met was excellent and accommodating. They were a warm community.

At Little Sisters of the Poor (Jeanne Jugan Residence), there are all old people, they're all on wheelchairs, they all get their meals there. My mom is in one room and that's what she wants. She wants to be in one room, she wants somebody to help her with her bath everyday and she doesn't want to go shopping anymore, so she is happy. There is not enough staff there, however. There is one or two covering the floor everyday. Sometimes they don't have enough people when it's time to eat. One day I walked by a lady's room and she was moaning and groaning and there was nobody there on the floor. The food is good though. They give you a lot. You can have as much as you want. Also the location is good.

I love this facility. Mom started out as assisted living residence with low income. While she had her own room they also offer activities during the day and special activities for holidays. They also offer mass and other lets chat - social conversations for the residence. When mom fell and broke her ankle they also had acute care in the same facility. Knowing she was safe and being cared for the physical and occupational therapy took a lot of worry away from.
