The Terraces Orleans is a small community, which is very nice, and the staffing is very good. They attend to their residents regularly. For skilled nursing facilities, they check them every couple of hours, change them, make sure they're clean, and keep them engaged. As far as care goes, it's very good. The rooms are big, and the bedrooms are big, but the facility itself probably needs an update. The rooms were definitely a good size.

I moved into the Terraces Orleans. First of all, it's actually located in the town of Orleans, which means it's very convenient to the grocery stores, post office, and probably all the necessities. It's actually right next to the police station, and it's up a little hill amidst all sorts of trees and bushes. My studio apartment is actually larger than I would have imagined. It has a full kitchen, a very spacious bathroom, and a closet area. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing that's missing is a dishwasher, which personally, I don't feel I need. I have a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, an oven with a four-burner stove, a little working area, and a sink. The staff is very helpful and very caring. I had a nurse come in on my first night and totally made my bed here. They allowed me to borrow some furniture, which is really helpful when you don't have a lot of finances and you're making a transition. I really couldn't say enough good things. They do provide meals, but that's extra. What I think is the really nice thing is you can do their meal plan or you can get meals a la carte. If one day you just don't feel like making dinner, you can have dinner, and then they put that fee on the next month's invoice. I know they have regular activities. There's a room on the lower level away from me that they use for activities with a grand piano in it. A few months ago, I was just in the library, which is very well equipped with a big screen TV and a lot of books. Then they have a church service every Sunday morning, which is live streamed from a local church.
