My mom lived in Envoy of Pikesville. I've learned that you get what you pay for. Envoy of Pikesville is more of a recovery center than some place that you would leave a person for an extended period of time. They had a poorly managed staff. They changed hands three times since 2015. The place often smelled. Oftentimes someone defecated or urinated on the floor, and it was left there for way longer than it should have been. The people were neglected quite often too. Many times would walk down the hall and the residents would be screaming for help. The dining set-up was nice. The atmosphere was acceptable. I've eaten with my mother there a couple of times and the food was acceptable. They catered to specific needs. The activities were minimal. They tried, but they were not enough.
