Provision Living at West Chester is designed to the latest in fire safety standards and life safety codes with a fully integrated alarm system that includes smoke detectors in all resident apartments and throughout the community and a remote connection to a central dispatching system. Our community is fully sprinkled ensuring even greater safety for residents. Residents are provided with an emergency call system that is monitored in a central location and alerts staff when a resident needs assistance. All entry and exit doors are alarmed and provide a greater measure of security. Our front entrance is locked after 7 p.m. nightly and requires a code and staff assistance to enter the community after hours. Our community is also monitored 24/7 via security video cameras to ensure the safest possible setting for each of our residents.

Provision Living at West Chester provides complimentary transportation via our wheelchair lift van to and from medical appointments. We also use our van to take our residents on outings to local attractions, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

We begin building great communication & information exchange with residents & their families beginning with each resident’s pre-admission. Our team spends time learning about each resident’s individual needs and preferences to ensure a person-centered, individualized plan using resident and family input. This plan is reviewed on a regular basis & as residents’ needs or preferences change it is updated to reflect changes. We encourage our families to ask questions, visit with our leadership team & staff whenever possible to ensure we share information effectively. Family members are invited to our Family Council meeting where they can communicate with the community leaders & share their experiences with other family members. Our full-time activities director shares photos with families of our residents engaged in our social and recreational activities programs.

Yes! We are a pet-friendly community, and we understand that our residents’ pets are family. Dogs and cats are welcome; however, they must remain inside the resident’s personal apartment. Unfortunately, not everyone enjoys having pets in their lives and we must respect their rights as well as those of our pet owners. All pets must be leashed when outside the resident’s apartment. We request that each resident and/or a family member ensure the care of the pet. Pets are not allowed in the dining rooms at any time.

Our amenities include vibrant activity spaces, a fitness room, both public and private dining options, on-physical therapy and occupational therapy services, off-site transportation, a beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped courtyards, patios, and walkways for residents to enjoy.

We offer a featured meal each day for the noon and evening meals, as well as an extensive ala carte menu. Ala carte selections are prepared to order at each meal. Breakfast is always cooked to order and is available upon request at all three meals.

Upon becoming a member of our team, each staff member is provided with an extensive orientation process that includes both State-required training and additional training required by our community. Our Memory Care Neighborhood is thoughtfully designed to engage residents and foster interaction with caregivers. It features dedicated "activity" stations that cater to residents who may wander or exhibit repetitive behaviors. The neighborhood includes an activities table with puzzles, memory games, adult coloring materials, and painting supplies, available to residents 24/7. The open layout encourages walking and includes stations for sorting, folding sensory stimulation, and tactile engagement. Reminiscing activities often focus on specific themes, inviting residents to share their past experiences and stimulate long-term memory

Our Director of Nursing oversees the assessment of each resident, supported by our trained caregivers. This includes monthly reviews, regular updates to individual service plans, and ongoing communication with team members and families. During the admission assessment, we establish a baseline cognitive level for each resident in the Memory Care Neighborhood. Residents are formally re-assessed upon admission, with individual plans created and updated every six months or as needed when changes are observed, ensuring that resident needs are consistently met.

We prioritize choice and variety in meals for each Memory Care resident. Collaborating with families, we identify individual food preferences to ensure residents enjoy nutritious, well-balanced meals that suit their tastes. Caregivers take meal orders, and residents gather in a family-style dining area to share their meals together. They may also join residents during meals, providing a modeling opportunity that encourages eating. As residents progress through different stages of dementia, caregivers may suggest specific food types, such as finger foods or appealing sweet items. Additionally, our neighborhood Bistro offers daily drinks and snacks to encourage residents to eat.
