I visited this facility

To me, Holiday Curtis Creek was very clean and open. I liked the atmosphere there. We saw somebody in there that was playing music and it seemed like everybody was into it. The people were super. I didn't see an issue with them at all. The facilities were also super. You couldn't complain about that.

I am/was a resident of this facility

We have moved into Holiday Curtis Creek. It's a complete retirement package. We have meals every day and cleaning once a week. Laundry is available, too. A lot of those chores are taken care of for us. Our apartment is small but that's what we expected. The staff is very nice. Like everywhere else, they have trouble having enough staff but they're very nice. There are activities every day. I don't go to them, but there are activities. They have outings but mostly I spend my time reading and writing. The food in general is good.

I like the fact that Holiday Curtis Creek offers three meals a day, activities, transportation, and church services. They also offer caregivers (you have to pay extra for that) if you need them. My mother-in-law loves her room. She has a large studio apartment. They offer housekeeping and laundry. They have a library and an activity room. They offer snacks and drinks (that's available all the time). We actually went there for Easter dinner and the food was delicious. They have a chef and it was like five-star dining.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has been in Holiday Curtis Creek for two weeks now. She loves it there. She's met a lot of people that she has things in common. The one little problem is they've had a COVID outbreak and so they've been on lockdown since last Thursday, so that part is not so great. My mom's room is really beautiful. She just loves it. She's got a balcony that she likes to sit on, and she likes her room very much. I think she likes the food. Of course, now they have to eat in their room, so this isn't the best time. But she got to eat there last week, and it is great, complete with piano playing. They have a guy playing piano during the meal, it's really beautiful. As far as I know, my mom has no problems with the staff. Everything seems to be in good working order. I would recommend it. It has beautiful views, and it's just all trees where she lives, so it's really pretty.

My dad moved into Curtis Creek. This is the only senior living center here in Quincy that is a strictly independent living facility, so they're able to give a much more affordable rate. They don't have nurses. The staff members are very friendly and helpful as much as they can be. There are some issues in their kitchen, but sometimes they come out with some great stuff. They have quite a bit of activity. They try to encourage their residents to move around as much as possible. I've seen them play bingo. They have a little craft area, so somebody comes in and directs them with some crafting. There's a game room with a shuffleboard and pool table.

I visited this facility

The tour at Curtis Creek was wonderful. Cara was very helpful. She showed us three different places, and she showed us the highlights like the exercise room and the chapel. She was very informative and very helpful, and she answered questions and stuff. The staff was very good. She invited us to have lunch with her. My sister and I went back and had lunch with her, and the service was great, and the people were great. We even got out to meet the chef. The rooms were very nice. People had just moved out not too long ago, so they just need to be fixed. The food was great. We have a lot of choices. They wait on you and all the staff communicate very well with the patients. It was very, very friendly. They just had a Mardi Gras party like the week before, and the staff told us they got a carnival coming up in March. She showed us pictures of a Valentine's party they've had. The residents were still ranting and raving about that, how good a time they had. It was a very good tour.

I visited this facility

I visited Curtis Creek in person. It was very nice, I had a very nice tour, and it was good. All staff members was awesome. The apartments were lovely, too. My problem is the prices. They're a little too steep for us. I like the friendliness of the staff and the people. I also like the apartments and the cleanliness of it. It's an awesome place to live in and everything is nice. They have a lot of activities going on that residents can enjoy. They have a pool, they have movies, and they have a lot of things to do. It's in a nice location. I didn't eat there, but I smelled their food, whatever they were cooking, and it smelled good.

My mother moved into Curtis Creek. It's excellent, everything is fine, and looking great. It's a wonderful facility. She's close to the dining hall. It's independent living, but you can hire separate care for what she needs function by function. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is nice, and she's very happy. I'm very pleased. I've eaten six meals there, and they've all been fine. It's a beautiful facility with lots of open air, and each individual apartment has a space where they can sit outside with a cover over their heads. She has a large two-room apartment, and it costs $1,000 a month less than the others.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was a resident of Curtis Creek. She was independent so she went down to lunch and they had people waiting on her, just like in a restaurant. She had a 1-bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette and a living room. They have a washer and dryer that she had access to, they had activities -- like they went to the mall for Christmas -- and they also played bingo and card games.

Curtis Creek was wonderful. The people were very nice, helpful, and friendly. The food was great, and there's always something going on, or they can have quiet time. It's in a quiet area since it’s not in town. They have activities and places to sit. They also have a library. Everything's included like food, utilities, and transportation. My mother-in-law is independent.

I visited this facility

We visited Curtis Creek. The apartments were very nice, comfortable, and attractive. The residents seemed reasonably happy, cared for, and active. The staff seemed very concerned and caring with the residents, friendly, and welcoming to us. They have a library, a lounge area for relaxation, but I would like to see opportunity for physical fitness there. Overall, it was an attractive place, and they made it worth considering.

My mom moved in to Curtis Creek. The quality of services is very good. I think it is worth it for other people to explore. The staff is very caring and open to suggestions. It is a place that I think people should look into if they need support for their family. They have something everyday for the members, and you can choose to participate of not. There are some days that my mom participates and some days that she doesn't. They have social meetings, et cetera. The food is excellent. They offer three meals a day. I think their price is reasonable compared to other independent and assisted living. I will recommend them to others.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We have our loved one settled in Curtis Creek. It is perfectly good because she is able to care for herself and yet not have to cook on her own. Down the road if her dementia gets a little worse, they also have the option of having somebody come in and look in on her. She goes to exercises classes, and she plays cards. They have three 4-star chef meals a day. They have an exercise room. They have washer and dryers if they want to do the laundry. They have different rooms for card games, and they have a library. They also have nice places to sit outside. They will take them, drop them off, and pick them up on their doctor’s appointments. The staff is very nice. They are there to answer all of your questions. They are there 24-hours, and they have nurses.

I visited this facility

I like Curtis Creek, but I am not so sure if I can afford it. The facility is very nice. The dining room is very nice, and the food is very good. One thing I noticed is that they give the seniors big portions of food. They seem to have very good activities. They told me that I could always come and do volunteer work.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother-in-law is doing fine at Curtis Creek. She lives a mile and a half away so I can pick her up and take her to her doctor's appointments, and I can also take her grocery shopping once a week. It's just real convenient for me to have her so close. She has a sizeable 1-bedroom apartment. The place is clean and accommodating. It has a home atmosphere. Residents keep track of one another. They're like family. They also play games and have other activities like getting a hairdresser. Their laundry gets done for them as well. The staff does a fine job. Everybody's friendly. They prepare all the meals and residents go down to the dining hall for them. The office staff and the managers serve coffee and drinks at all the meals and they walk around to check and visit with their residents and their families. That way, they'll know if somebody didn't come down for lunch. One little lady didn't come down for 2-3 days in a row to eat so they took meals up to her. After a while they found out that she had shingles and they took her to the dermatologist to get treated for it. They look after one another. The facility also allows residents to hire their own nurses to come take care of them there. Curtis Creek is definitely a 5-star facility. Their services are also less money and they don't care what my mother-in-law's assets are.
