Countryside Estates is small with only 22 or 24 apartments. It is very nice, but it is not a good fit for our mom. To my understanding, they only serve two meals, lunch and dinner, and once a month or once a week, they get breakfast, but that is not enough. On the weekend, there are only one or two staff members in the kitchen. Some people who live there still drive because they have their own cars, and they have parking garage. They don't have nursing care, but they have a call light in the bathroom that goes to the nursing home next door; however, they do not have a nurse on staff. They have some activities and have a Christmas party. They have a van that will take people to town, like to the bank or shopping, which is nice. You are more on your own out there. She spends too much time alone in her apartment and will deteriorate if she does not have social stimulation. It is not designed for what she needs right now. Five or 10 years ago, it would have been perfect, but not now.
