My parents used to be residents of East Bank Center. They were both there and they forgot to give my mom her thyroid medication and so she went way downhill. That place was awful. I had to call the nursing home government to report them because she could have died or gone into a coma without having her thyroid meds. She changed into a different person. She was fighting and biting them and she's never done that before. It took them three weeks to figure it out, so I was not happy. They also didn't notice the bed sores, so when she got to the new facility, they saw the bed sores. She had fallen a lot at East Bank too. At the new facility they had her bed down on a mat so if she fell it was not very far. At East Bank they didn't do that, I guess, so when she fell she'd end up in a hospital. She had a big cast on her head. They also didn't keep it clean so it was an awful experience. It was the worst place that I ever had to deal with. The staff was very friendly, there might have been a couple that weren't, but for the most part there were a couple that were very friendly. They shared rooms there. It is such a small place that I did not see anything around there. There was a little spot used for the hugging booth, like a plywood thing that you could put your arms through and you got to put these long gloves on, this was right outside the cafeteria. That's the only place that we could really see them.
