"We just got back from our tour to Autumn Fields in Hoopeston. I think that's where my mom wants to go. It's wonderful. We really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful facility. The people were friendly and caring. I think my mom is going to get outstanding services there. They have a large dining area. Very spacious and very open. They provide three quality meals a day. It's nice. We're very happy with them. The food was very good. The facilities were beautiful. We're going to put Mom in Autumn Fields."

"I love the fact that they have 3 healthy meals a day, clean my apartment once a week, will do your laundry if you need them to, 24 hr on call assistants, VERY friendly staff!! Bingo 3 times a week, entertainment (when possible due to Covid-19), pets are allowed!! The rooms are one or two bedrooms and easy to get in showers!"

"My mother is in Watseka Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. This is the only place that had an opening in the Alzheimer's unit and took Medicaid. It's a fine place. Everybody is very friendly and very helpful. For the most part, she seems happy there. We have not had any trouble with any of them. The facility is very nice. They've got a couple of patios, a gazebo, and a lot of yards. Once it gets nice, we can take her out. The Alzheimer's unit has its own dining room. It's more like a restaurant. I had lunch with her one day and the food was very good. They have activities for them. They do her laundry, and they have a beauty shop. They offer three meals, and there's a nursing staff."

"Mom is in Prairieview Lutheran Home. It's pretty well kept up. I haven't had any issues with the services. They're very helpful, nice, friendly, and understanding. They have stuff three or four times a day, every day. They have church, they have somebody come paint their nails and do their hair, they have bingo, a little popcorn party, and arts and crafts. The dining area is nice. I have never tried the food, but it looks decent. My mom hasn't complained about it."

"My father was in a nursing home at Country Health Care & Rehab. It was top of the line. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's clean and just overall very nice place. They had a chapel, and there were two units. It's a very safe and nice place. They were all very helpful and answered all of our questions. They met his needs and anything that we needed. They were very generous and helped us. We were satisfied."

"Piper City Rehab & Living Center was the one my husband was most happy in after he got used to it. He was very sick when he went in, and he got good care there. Once he got better, they could get him up. He won't do anything for me like he would for them. They took really good care of him. When he got better, they took him down to play bingo and different things and he finally had a friend he talked to all the time. Even now, he'll tell me he'll go to Piper City again. He was there for three months in skilled nursing. He was in the room by himself for a month to a month and a half. When COVID was high, they had to have a hall set aside just for COVID. They had to move some people, so they had another man in his room, but they got along fine. The food looked really good and he ate it all. They did a really good job with the upkeep. During COVID, the only place you could sit in was his room, but after that, when he got better and COVID was not as redolent, we could go in the big dining room. When the grandkids came, we stayed outside. Everybody was great. If there was a problem, the girls were always on it and called me. They did a really good job of keeping it clean. The cleaning people did great. They always had his bed changed and made. I went to bingo one day and watched them and sat with him at his table and he even won. The older people seemed to like it."

"This community has a lovely atmosphere. It is more modern in style and all the rooms are 1 bedroom. The staff are very polite and will to help you out. They have a lot of entertainment & activities to do. The residents are very nice and helpful also. They have staff that have been at the community for years. "

"My friend moved into Rantoul Villas and Reflections. She's loving it there. She's a very shy, keep to yourself kind of person, but she's out watching movies and doing tai chi; it's wonderful. It's very clean and the food is wonderful. We had a couple of meals with her. I was very impressed, people were sweet, and I liked it a lot. The size and the layout of the apartment is very appropriate for just one person. It's a handicap accessible room with a larger bathroom, and the way the sink is set up she can get underneath with her wheelchair or standing up. They have all kinds of things, they bake, they do crafts, they watch movies, they do tai chi, she has physical therapy, they play cards, they bowl, they have music groups come in, preachers of different sorts come in, they go on outings, and they go out to eat one day. It's high cost, but it's very much worth it, and it's 30 miles closer to home."

"The people at La Bella of Clifton are very nice and friendly. It's clean, and my sister is getting appropriate care there. They are very qualified, experienced people. They got clean, nice, and neat rooms. They have both physical and occupational therapy, which are important, and 24-hour nursing care."

"Gibson City was beautiful. The dining facility, the people, the activities, the rooms, the location, the beautiful setting -- it was definitely a cut above the other ones. The location was in a real community. It was nice. Everything was brand new. They had ice cream, a nice fireplace, and a play room. The price was better than the other two I visited."
