"I don't recommend The Oaks - Bethany (Skilled Nursing) at all. It's awful. My grandmother was there and I pulled her out of there. The furniture that we found in the room had mold growing on the inside of the cupboards. We were in there and there was a guy down the hall that had a head wound that was bleeding and there was blood on the floor. My grandmother fell on there and they didn't even call me. It was on a Sunday and they tried to tell me it just happened after they gave her a med. They didn't have hospice come out and check her out. I ended up pulling her out of there and taking her to the hospital and she had six broken ribs. When I went in there, it took me 30 minutes to find somebody. There was nobody around. The food was their best thing. Whoever it is doing the food, they were the only thing good about that place. The food was hot and they did uphold her dietary restrictions. It was good and she ate it. That was the only thing she enjoyed. The facility looked rundown. They need to improve on their nurses, and their staff, updating the place, checking out the cabinets, and communication."

"My parents used to live at Bethany Assisted Living. It was clean and a newer facility. It was very spacious. The people there were really nice and kind. The staff was very caring. They went out there to check on people because they loved and cared for them so much. It was a little expensive, but the level of care they offered was excellent. I had seen a lot of facilities and I would honestly say Bethany was one of the best facilities. "

"My mother has moved into Lumber City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. They are exceptional, very caring, and they've just done a wonderful job with my mom. It was very clean and really nice. The staff is a ten plus; they're exceptional, very caring, and they treat my mother with respect. They have been wonderful. She seems to enjoy the food."

"My husband is in Southland Healthcare and Rehab. The nurses take good care of him, and he's happy. They keep the residents from running away, and everybody there seems to be reasonably happy. Some of them sit outside on the porch and talk to the people who come through the door. His room is adequate with a bathroom and sink, cabinets and so on. I wasn't able to get him some things so they were given to him until I was able to replace them. The staff keeps his catheter clean all the time. I wasn't able to get him pants when we had relatives coming over to visit, so the nurse went and got him a pair from the laundry. I would recommend them."

" I was a patient in the rehab section of Shamrock Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for two months in early 2018. I was very impressed with the professionalism and compassion of all staff members with whom I came in contact -- nursing, housekeeping, dietary, rehabilitation, and front office. The facility was extremely clean, with absolutely no odor often associated with nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. The meals were excellent; definitely a cut above standard institutional food. A full-time activities director coordinates a wide range of activities to help residents and patients have something to look forwd to and pass the time. I would not hesitate to recommend Shamrock to anyone interested in a nursing home or in an inpatient rehabilitation center."

"My brother moved to Heritage House in Dublin. It's just a good place for him to be. It's a good environment, he is safe there and they look after him, and they take him to the doctor if he needs to go. He is also close to a hospital. I go down there and see my brother at least about twice a month, and the staff are good people. The facility is great. It's beautiful, and is kept up very well. My brother gets three meals a day and a snack in the afternoon. I also get him some snacks and other stuff when I go down to the grocery store. He's taken care of, I have no doubt about that. It's worth what it is being paid for."

"Administration very professional, easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating to the needs of a family member. Medical staff is also very professional and taking excellent care of a family member. All staff have always been available to speak in person and or on phone.. Staff goes above and beyond with care of a family member and also keeping me updated. Rooms are kept very clean with lots of space to make family member feel comfortable. Thankful to have this facility close by. "

"We have no complaints with Twelve Oaks. It's very clean. The food is kind of bland, but that is to be expected in an assisted living. The staff is friendly and very accessible. They do have activities, but Philip doesn't participate in any. Twelve Oaks is highly recommended. "

"My mom moved into Summer Willow at james Place. It was in the top two in regard to facility, and it was the best value for the money. I’m very satisfied they provide assistance with medication, bathing and hygiene, and transportation to her medical appointments. Everything so far is top notch."

"The staff are very helpful and my grandmother knows them all by name, however they always seem short. There is a nurse always available to help my grandmother and at times she can be a handful. The rooms are too small for two person living. Two rooms (4 people) share the same restroom with a toilet and sink. They don't take into consideration who they make roommates either. My grandmothers roommate mostly sleeps and when she is awake she yells. The only words you can make out are the curse words. They have a nice yard for the elderly, but I rarely see anyone outside. The only time my grandmother goes outside is when we take her, I think it is due to the facility being under staffed. "

"All the residents at Summer Willow seem to love each other, just like a big family. They got nice rooms, and everybody got their own bath. The dining room was very nice, and the food was very good. They charge you $5 if you eat with your parent. They play bingo Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they have church on Sunday, and they have movie day with Coke and popcorn on Saturday. Tuesday is their shopping day, and they take them to Wal-Mart if they are able and let them shop. The staff were very helpful, and everybody seems real caring. All the doors are locked at 6:00, and they have to ring the doorbell because they won't let anybody get in unless they knock on the door. "

"I toured Emerald City Lodge with the retired educators, and the lady came up to speak to us during one of our meetings, but since it was the first one I toured, I was impressed with this one also because the facility is smaller. The dining area and everything was nice, well set-up. I was impressed with the staff. They talked about the fact that if you move in, you could have keep your own vehicles, and once you're able you can leave whenever you wanted to. The facility is close to the downtown area."
