"The Cottages at Woodland Terrace was absolutely beautiful. The people were so friendly and everything, but transportation was a drawback there. I gave up my car, so I wanted to have a bus service or such; they don't have anything like that. I would recommend it to anyone that has a car and could get out if they wanted to go shopping and stuff like that, but not for me. The layout was great. The one-bedrooms even had a sunroom that was big enough that if you wanted to make it into a bedroom, you could do that. The living room was plenty big, as well as their dining area. The place was really, really nice. They will give you lunch every day; but other than that, you have to buy and cook your own food. If I didn't have a car, then I couldn't get out to buy food, so there again was the drawback. In fact, there wasn't even any public transportation because it was too far from it. Shannon was the person who toured us. I wanted to ask about whether they do the cleaning or not, and she said "No, we don't have people that come in. You have to do your own cleaning." She said that sometimes she does it on her own for you. She was great. I was also in the main building where the assisted living people live, and it was beautiful inside."

"We loved The Glen at Lake Oconee Village and the people are unbelievable. It is a lovely, brand new, and extraordinarily well-maintained facility, but the most impressive thing about it is the quality of professionalism and care of the staff. John and Jamie in particular walked us through all kind of options and have exhibited incredible patience in helping us work through this with my parents, including multiple visits and conversations. They have just been outstanding. They have a great and terrific location and it's next to all kinds of amenities including doctors' offices, grocery stores, and drug stores. You can walk from the facility to those places if you're able, so the location is beautiful. The grounds are very new, so it's still being built out, but it's very nice. The one thing that could help them would be to become more visible to the community because my parents didn't even know they existed."

"Harbor at Harmony Crossing was nice and new, but it was a little more expensive than the others because it's more geared for memory care and assisted living. It's a little smaller and a little more intimate, and the apartments were smaller and had less in the kitchen. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They had games, church services, and a beauty parlor. They called everybody by name. The facility was clean and nice, and everybody seemed very helpful."

"Savannah Court was excellent. I thought it only had a total of 30 people which was great. It was clean. The room was nice. We liked it. The person that assisted us during the tour was wonderful. She was very friendly and very informative. She was great. Even after we decided not to go with that place, she still called to see how my cousin was doing. The dining area was fine. "

"I have chosen Chaplinwood Nursing Home for my father. So far, they've been great to him. The nurses are great. It's not extremely clean, but it's clean enough. But I think the floor in his room needs to be mopped more, although, I guess they do the best they can. His room is small and there's no way for anybody to stay the night or anything. My father is not eating very much, but they're giving him whatever he'll eat. They do have a common area and a dining area."

"My sister was at Green Acres Health and Rehab. They had lots of activities and a caring staff who acted on things immediately. I was invited once a month to a care plan meeting. The rooms were larger there compared to other places but not well lit. The overall environment was positive, very happy, and busy. "
