Upside homes are located in attractive communities across the country that offer close access to dining, entertainment, shopping, recreation, quality healthcare and conveniences like grocery stores. Many of our locations are centered around cultural activities, and all of them are near places of worship, libraries, museums and academic institutions. Our members are active and want to be a part of the greater community rather than associating only with a senior living campus.

Traditional senior living often boxes residents into smaller apartments with the trade-off of common spaces like game rooms, cafeterias, and exercise facilities. At Upside, we’re different. Your common area depends on the luxury apartment building you choose. Most of our homes offer courtyards with greenspace, walking paths, fitness facilities, clubhouses with common rooms and cafes, and swimming pools. All of them provide accessible parking, in-home laundry, modern appliances and finishes, and on-site security.

Upside members can order gourmet meals to be delivered, or request grocery delivery service if they prefer to prepare their own dishes. There is no set menu, which is what our members love. And there is no meal plan schedule with monthly requirements. You choose. Plus, we can arrange for restaurant meal delivery so they can sit down to their favorites without leaving home.

Upside regularly organizes meet-up events at our apartments and in the community for members who are interested. (No pressure!) We organize group reservations to favorite local restaurants so Upside members can enjoy a meal and like-minded companionship. We get to know the interests of our members’ interests and curate activities, outings and events that cater to the way they want to spend time.

All Upside homes are staffed with on-site security, and our members have access to a Home Manager who can provide check-ins for peace of mind.

Absolutely. And our members have an option to join Upside+, which adds another layer of care. Upside+ members get twice-daily visits from a certified nursing assistant (CNA), plus the following services: Medication reminders Safety checks Escorts to meals/activities Meal preparation Gourmet meal pick-up & delivery Free grocery delivery Mail and newspaper delivery Assistance with everyday needs, on-site and on-demand Pet car Dog walking Cat litter help Light housework Laundry service Change bed linen Transportation Shopping/errands.

Upside members are generally residents ages 50+ who enjoy their independence and are searching for luxury living options. Our members are seeking an alternative to traditional senior living facilities but may need some help here and there. Upside members’ families might live far away and want peace of mind that they are connected to amenities and resources. Or perhaps they are close by but raising their own families and want to know there’s always an on-call personal/care concierge who they can depend on. Upside members want to maintain their interests and possibly explore new hobbies, now that they do not have the burden of housekeeping, lawn maintenance, cooking, running errands, or even arranging travel and walking the dog. The personal/care concierge makes arrangements for all of these things. Above all, our Upside members want to enjoy their older years.
