I went to Amberlin Wiregrass Ranch. It's new. It's only about two or three years old. Everything is very convenient. The apartment I was going to lease overlooked the pool area. The layout is very convenient. The clubhouse is right there. They have nice amenities. They have a fitness center. They have a calendar of events. They have gatherings in a little party room inside the clubhouse. The management was very nice. They told me they were pet-friendly. As I was leaving, I decided to take my dog for a walk around the community because I had chosen an apartment, and I was going to move forward with doing my application. This woman, who lives there, came out of the clubhouse and was very nasty to me. She was nasty to me about walking around the community. She made a remark about, "We don't like dogs here," and so I said, "Who wants to live around that?" So, I called the manager, the leasing agent, the next day, and I told her exactly what happened. She knew exactly who the woman was, but she never followed through. She apologized to me, but she never did anything about it. She didn't say to me, "Are you still interested in coming to live with us? I can say something to this woman that we're a pet-friendly community and that she was speaking to you in an appropriate fashion." She didn't offer to do that.
