"We toured Cedar Community in West Bend. They showed us everything very nicely. The apartment we saw looked good. It's a very big community, and we thought it's nice. The staff we met was very friendly and helpful. I would say it's probably one of the best places that we looked at. I like its location. It was not in a crowded area of a city, but it was also just outside of town and that was something that appealed to us. They had a small library and some activities too. They had people come in and talk about things or entertain."

"The Canterbury Court assisted living facility looked like a lovely place to live as we arrived. We were checking out places for our aunt to live in the area. The grounds had many places for seniors to enjoy safely with minimal supervision. There were many park-like spaces with large trees and nicely manicured lawns. We really liked the atmosphere of this home-style community. The residents seemed content, well cared for engaged in socializing. The interior design was orderly and easy to navigate. Rooms all had nice views with a soothing décor. The main dining room had a spacious and cheerful decor. The residents were offered healthy, home-style cooked meals in a comfortable restaurant setting. All of the food looked and smelled delicious, as well as prepared healthily. The menus included interesting dishes, as well as the usual American foods. Snacks are offered throughout the day and whenever residents want them. The fitness center includes a variety of exercise classes. The staff supervises use of the equipment for safety, which includes bikes, treadmills and weight training machines. Some residents choose to take daily walks along the lovely garden pathways. The staff sees that the residents are encouraged to exercise daily. The private spaces were all individually decorated with tasteful colors and all had a light, airy and homey feel. The units also had nice views and beautiful furnishings. Bathrooms included all of the necessary safety features. The calendar included many stimulating activities like nature walks, visits to local cultural and eating establishments and other community events. The seniors looked well tended by kind and caring staff. It was clear that everyone at this facility enjoys their work, which contributes to the nice atmosphere and contentment of the residents. "

"Congregational Home was nice. The rooms were spacious, and they had just done a lot of remodeling, so they were trying to make it look interesting -- two bedrooms with a whole kitchen facility that you could live there and be under the same roof with your spouse and if not, then you could start up in one of the apartments, and after you couldn't handle taking care of yourself, you could just stay in there with everything. It was more carefree that you don't have to do anything, but it is quite expensive. "

"San Camillo is an excellent assisted living facility which takes great care of their patients, at least from my personal experience. My relatives are served daily by nurses, doctors, culinary staff, cleaning staff and security in an operation which appears to pride itself on comprehensive coverage for its residents based on their needs. the facilities themselves are clean and well taken care of, and there are options for recreation, religious practice, social interaction and other activities which seem to keep my family satisfied. The only complaint, which may be unfair, is that the parking lot is too small for the number of patients they house, but there are only a few occasions in which limited parking has really been an issue; this is a great assisted-living home. "Village at Manor Park is a large facility on the southwest side of Milwaukee. It has many levels of care. There is independent senior living, assisted living and nursing home. I have blind cousin living in the assisted living center and is quarantined a bed in the nursing home when the time come.Bill, has a beautiful room overlooking the court yard which is can only see the light and the dark but says he enjoys the sounds of the people out there and being out there in good weather. The faculty is geared to his condition and has made accommodations for his needs such as making more things in Braille so he can get around more indecently. He says the meals are excellent and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. He had lived in the home for the blind most of his life but says that "The Village" is much better and he feels safer there. He attends a variety of activates including bingo where he has a Braille bingo card and also plays "sheep head" with other men using Braille playing cards. They have many holiday program music programs which Bill says are great. He is very happy and satisfied at the Village at Manor Park. "
