The Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities Communities in Jackson County, OR

"We visited the continuing care communities of Rogue Valley Manor in Medford, and it is a fabulous community. There's really nothing we've found in California that's as good as this one. They have a 3-bedroom cottage with two baths and a two-car garage for about a million dollars, and in California, you'd be lucky to find anything like that for $3 million. They have an incredible number of activities available, too. There's nothing that we found in California that matches that. They have a partnership with Osher at Southern Oregon University. They have a lot of concerts and musicals. They also have a huge auditorium and two golf courses. They have a variety of units, and about 900 residents live there. They have a very nice library, a very nice pool, and two or three restaurants. It's just everything that a senior person would want. Even the upkeep of the place is excellent. They also have a one-year waiting list. The person who gave the tour was very good at showing us around. She showed us some cottages, took us through the facilities, and it was very good. She's excellent."

"I went to The Springs at Anna Maria. I was favorably impressed. Most of the people that I saw were older, I felt younger than them. The person who took me around was very nice, she was very good, she showed me a couple of rooms, she took me everywhere I could want to see. She showed me the dining area, she showed me the gardens, a couple of residents walked up to her and said hello. She was very affable with them, and it made a very good impression on me. I thought it was a good facility overall. I thought the neighborhood was a little bit sterile, and it was a residential neighborhood. The rooms were acceptable, they weren't anything special, not large, but for the price, they were reasonable. They do have a choice of sizes, a one, and a two-bedroom. They had rooms where people could gather, and they had posted get-together types of activities, games, and watching movies and television. They're clean and presentable, quite attractive, they had a library and such. It's very nice."
