The facility smelled clean, but appeared understaffed. Some elderly were unassisted as they roamed the halls, apparently unaware of their surroundings. My grandma's roommate, in her state of dimentia, would intrude on our conversations as often as she felt pleased to from behind her curtain. The nurses were fairly nice while I visited, but I didn't feel that they were as attentive to the patients as they could have been. I also felt that some of their kindness was afforded on account of our visit. My grandma felt very lonely and often complained about it. On the other hand my grandma said the food was very good and I think because she herself used to be a certified nursing assistant she probably keeps a very favorable rapport in the first place. Overall the facility could use brighter lights in the halls, and the warmth of the staff could use some added assurance for some of the elderly that have been placed there.
