My mother stayed in the facility and I was always impressed with the level of care and grateful for how she was treated. Although the house is a bit older... it really feels like a home and the staff always makes the residents feel like a family. Thank you for all you did for my mother! Would definitely recommend.

We went to Mary's Assisted living. It was OK, but it was a house; as houses age, there's a lot of upkeep. So the backyard was completely overgrown. The laundry facilities (which was done every day) were nice, but were in another structure. There were some broken tiles in the kitchen. It just looked un-kept. The cleanliness was fine, but the broken tiles should have been fixed. It would be considered a trip hazard. They had some uneven footing from the hallway into a room. They had several chairs and were practicing safe distancing, but it was a small house. All the meals at Mary's Assisted Living were served at a table with everyone coming to the table, and that's not six feet apart. It was fine, but that's not something we were looking for. The manager of the facility was not there. I did talk to her on the phone, and the one that would come by on a daily basis was her son and another guy, who was the provider of the medications. He was a cousin, so it was all family based. They were very personable. They gave me their text numbers, phone numbers, and all kinds of information.

Mary's Assisted Living was not up to par for us. To me, everything was kind of old and tattered. There was really no place for the elderly to even walk outside. They have a front yard, but it's a busy street (so that's kind of scary). I just felt like my father-in-law would be locked up in the house all the time and wouldn't have an area to walk around outside. They didn't have a backyard for him to walk around in. It's a residential care home. The person was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He gave us information and showed us the rooms and everything. He did a good job. It seemed a bit tattered. A lot of things in there seemed a bit old, like nothing was updated in there. Even though it wasn't dirty, it made it looked a little shabby. There was a shared room and a private room available; it just depends on whatever you wanted.

I called Mary's Assisted Living to do a virtual tour and she asked if I wanted to go and see it and so I did. It's in a home and seems very homey and clean. I like it. She was very nice, so I put my mother-in-law there. She seems to be happy and it's working out. I did not try the food and my mother-in-law hasn't said anything, everything seems to be fine. She gets her three meals a day plus snacks, and she seems happy with that. It seems like a lot of money, but everything's included, so it's fine. I feel that the other residents there are pretty much in bed, but my mother-in-law can actually go about. She walks in her walker and she said they treat her real well. She said they were very nice, and they treat her good.
