They are modern, well-kept, and very nice. The staff was very warm and friendly. They have a little happy hour, a little bar, and a beauty shop. It was just above our price range."

"We have chosen The Renaissance of Stillwater for my mom. I was very happy with it. The Renaissance of Stillwater happened to be the first of the three tours, and I liked it so much that I didn't even want to look at the other ones. I was very satisfied with it. The bonus is that it is just a little over a mile from where I live now, and that makes it easier. I looked at a room, and I liked it so much. It just seemed to be perfect, and it's super clean. I was impressed with the backdoor where my mom can step out and see the outdoors as a patio. The dining room looked splendid, it's like a fancy restaurant. The convenience, the walk-in shower with this ceramic bench in it, the pull strings by the toilet, and then the little microwave and the refrigerator in the kitchen area, so it looks so nice. The closet is huge, and it is perfect. I'm very, very impressed. The director is fantastic and the staff is nice too. Everything is just right. They have a pond in front. My mom grew up on a farm. The scenario is perfect for her. I met five of the staff members. The director introduced me to five of them, and I thought that was very nice, too. They were very nice and very cordial, and so I feel complete confident that it's the right place. Her room is spotless, her living area is spotless. My mom hasn't moved in yet even though it is her room now. Once I saw this, it was perfect for her, and I knew she would like it, and so I stuck with it."

"My husband is living now at Brookdale Stillwater. They did an evaluation of him before he came in, and once he gets acclimated, a couple of the charges might drop off. However, within a couple of weeks, they decided that he needed more care, and the charges that I thought was going to drop off actually doubled. Every couple of weeks, it seems like they're adding another $100 to $200. I like the people, the staff, and the management, but they're corporate, so they have rules, books, and guidelines. Every time they raise the price, you're not really getting value for your money. The basic is supposed to include overseeing showering whether it is setting him up or reminding him. Then they said he needs more help because he might slip, so that's another fee. I hate to have my husband re-acclimate to another community because he has gotten some friends there. The rooms are pleasant, too. You have a little kitchenette, a little living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. However, the food has been debatable. They don't use a lot of fresh and vegetables. However, everything is nutritionally sound. Overall, I would give this place a 5. They have a nice outdoor courtyard, which is really why I picked the place in the first place. There are things that they probably should keep up with, but it doesn't affect safety. They have some exercise program, and they got a new director."

"Primrose is excellent. The apartments are excellent, too. It is good value with good staff. It is also a very clean place. It is really good. They have good management and several activities. The dining area is excellent, too. They pretty much have all the amenities. They offer assisted living and independent living. They have a bar, a movie room, a spa, and an indoor pool. They have various things. It opened five years ago and is as clean, new, and nice as it was when it opened."

"Golden Oaks Village had a beautiful chandelier and looked really homey when you walk in. They had various sitting rooms, some with fireplaces, and a library. I was impressed with the room because it was large, clean, and had a full-size refrigerator and a range. The thing that impressed me the most was that you could order off a menu and eat any time. It was two stories and had an elevator. There was no odor. The grounds were well kept, and there was a pond. It was very appealing. I talked to the recreation director, and she was able to get a room opened for me that had become vacant. The price was very good. "
