We liked everything about Mera Goodyear. It was lovely, new, and modern. The staff members were very helpful. They went out of their way to give us a tour and get us information. The rooms were fine.

I've visited Mera Goodyear, it's a nice community. It's brand new, they have everything that you could ever need there. They even have a golf simulator, it just seemed like the community was very well taken care of. Everybody there was happy and all the residents there that I spoke to was extremely happy. They're very sociable and seemed like they had a lot of good things going on within the community for the seniors. The staff was nice and helpful. They had an ice cream social going on and I was able to get ice cream. I spoke to some of the residents there, and they said they couldn't have chosen a better place. They came from another senior community and they were just very happy with the transition. They also have a dog park there, it just seemed like a very good place. The only comment I have was the amount of price per month. The price for a 1-bedroom was $1800 for a downstairs apartment, that was the only problem. If it was a little bit more affordable, I'd be living there right now. Everything there was excellent, they have libraries, game rooms, a big TV room with a giant TV, and they have a baseball simulator and bowling simulator. It's a very high-tech place, it was something else. The residents were playing cards and socializing, they were all out of their apartments and were downstairs together just enjoying each other. It seems they like congregating there.

We are choosing Mera Goodyear independent living for my mom. It just seems like a really good fit for active adults that are looking for more of a feel of a community, but yet still being able to live independently. Kelly at the facility, who did the tour, was awesome. We looked at a couple of different layouts and we went with one that was a little bit different. The other ones, the standard ones, are boxier and we went with one that was a corner, so it had a little bit more contour and definition. They were having happy hour and they invited us. We got to see all the different activities that they do and the clubhouse, which is two levels, that has all the stuff like classrooms and movie rooms. It's brand new and it's beautiful with lots of stuff to do. You can tell the residents interact with each other and have a good time.
