After dad died I wanted to take care of mom so we arranged her stay at Colony Manor in Wasilla Alaska. Ideally it would have been nice if dad was still around to keep mom company but life does not turn out the way we expect sometimes. But Colony Manor is a place where mom can be around people her age. This may be the best alternative.

I was able to visit Colony Manor At Village Park Assisted Living Home, it looks nice and homey. It was like living in your own home. The rooms I saw were very roomy, bright, cheerful, and clean. I found that the food was very unimaginative, very dull. It's not something that I would like very often, and it wouldn't accommodate my dietary needs. They're not very accommodating, they don't support your needs, but the staff seems good. The upkeep and maintenance are poor, their grass needs mowing and the upkeep is practically non-existent.
