"Chester Park Cooperative was fine. They had a lot of stuff, but I didn't really get a tour. I had friends living there, and we stayed with them one night. They briefed us on all the amenities they had and the parking garage underneath. The cost of the facilities is listed on the internet. You have to buy in and then pay a monthly HOA fee after that. You don't have to leave the facility. Everything is there. If you need assisted living, they have staff that deal with that. It was kind of a combination. If you're over 55, it was a fairly reasonable place to move into. You could get as much as 2000 square feet, but you would pay for it; they are expensive. Even at that expense, they are more reasonable in the long term to deal with than they are down here where I am. If you look at the Chester Park website, they show you the floor plans. They have maybe a dozen different floor plans, ranging from 800 square feet all the way up to almost 1900 square feet. You buy in. Then you'll have a monthly HOA, which is approximately $1200 a month. For that, you have a restaurant in the building, a beauty shop, activities, and a weight room or an exercise room. You have most of the amenities that most independent living facilities provide, plus transportation to the store and stuff like that. There also is a parking garage underneath assigned to you with storage. I rate them very highly. It's multistory. It's well kept up, clean, and well maintained."
