However, the physical and cognitive changes that come with age can make it difficult to safely manage daily tasks, avoid injury, and stay engaged in meaningful activities. When this happens, family members often feel obligated to step in as caregivers — a role that can quickly become overwhelming, especially while balancing work, family, and personal responsibilities. At Seniors Helping Seniors®, we understand these challenges. Our mission is to support seniors in aging safely and independently at home with compassion and dignity. We thoughtfully match seniors with caregivers who are also seniors or “old souls,” sharing similar interests, values, and life experiences. These connections foster companionship and help seniors stay active in their homes and communities. Seniors Helping Seniors - Greater Woodlands is owned and operated by Grant and Mary Broussard. Mary, a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) with advanced training in Dementia Care, Senior Home Safety, and Fall Prevention, has a passion for helping others and brings years of experience providing direct therapeutic interventions which includes conducting evaluations to understand each client’s needs, strengths, goals, and safety concerns. As Vice President of Care, Mary oversees every step of the client journey — from the initial call and home evaluation to writing personalized care plans and ensuring a smooth first caregiver visit. Her goal is to ensure clients feel heard, families feel supported, and caregivers are fully prepared to provide excellent care. Grant, an engineer with a background in systems management and problem-solving, works behind the scenes to keep operations running smoothly. As President, he focuses on maintaining the company’s vision through effective strategies including open communication with staff and potential clients, use of advanced technology systems, and closely monitoring all systems with extra attention put towards continuous performance improvement to ensure we deliver exceptional service to our community.
