    My Mom had the same regular daytime caregiver for years. She is outstanding, always making sure the tasks she performs are done accurately , on time and with a smile. There are other caregivers that fill in for other hours in the week. Those caregivers have all been competent and kind to my Mom. My Mom feels that she has made friends with each of them. The office is very responsive and will find a replacement in the rare event that the regular caregiver has to miss a day for any reason. The supervisor is the best. She is very smart and has great skills in communicating and compassionately caring for elder patients.

    We have been with Sunlight for about two years now, and the caregivers have been excellent. They are very caring, empathetic, and they are always looking for ways to help out and not sitting idle. The nursing Director Sandy does a wonderful job and has made numerous helpful. Suggestions to help keep our mom functioning independently. I would recommend Sunlight for folks needing home care services.

From the time of my first stressed-out phone call to Sunlight seeking immediate help for my sister's MS condition, I was finally able to exhale, knowing she was in capable hands. Regisered Nurse, Sandy examines and evaluates my sister on a regular basis and skilled home health aides provide services tailored to meet her unique needs.     I have been using Sunlight Care for my mother who has Vascular dementia and they have been great. Our certified caregiver has been professional, compassionate, and empathic not only with my mother but with family as well. I highly recommend for those who need in-home care.

    Sunlight Care is excellent! They provide me with relief two afternoons a week from the caregiving needed by husband who has dementia. My husband enjoys conversation & watching TV with a companion. This helps keep him engaged in the day & gives me the freedom to leave the house without worry or concern about my husband’s safety.

    We used Sunlight to provide care for my mother with dementia. I worked with Nancy and Luz to find her caregivers and they were incredibly compassionate and understood what our needs were. We were provided with caregivers who were so loving that they became like family. I'm still in contact with some of them, even though my mother has passed. Their pricing is also better than other agencies in the area. I especially liked the fact that we could hire a caregiver for as little as 2 hours, rather than the standard of 4 hours minimum at other agencies. Working with Sunlight was the best decision that we made, as it made it possible to care for my mother at home rather than at an assisted living facility. We were confident that when we couldn't be there, that she was in capable and loving hands.

    We worked with Sunlight Care for about 9 months off and on. Sandy and Nancy were most helpful placing someone quickly, even though we had to stop and start several times. Sandy was patient with my MIL, hearing her concerns and trying to find the right fit and succeeding. We liked that the company offered a 3 hour minimum time, as opposed to other placement companies we found that required 5 or more per visit. Mostly, the care and compassion given by Sandy, Nancy, Luz and all the workers we encountered was most appreciated at a time when we needed it. Thank you.

    We could not have been more satisfied with Sunlight. Sandy was wonderful from the first phone call on. She was caring and professional. She was able to work with us on the hours we needed and finding providers that were a good match for my Mother in Law. I would not call anyone else if I needed home health in the future!

    My mother and we have been extremely happy with Sunlight Care and all of their employees, Aides and administration since we started with them over a year ago. Their service is excellent and they have been able to accommodate mom's needs, even at the last minute and esp with her changing health care needs. Mom loved Wanda who gave her weekly showers, and came in sometimes 2x daily to help with wound care. Wanda is an exceptional health care giver who truly cares and is very sensitive to mom's needs. Sandy, the owner has been very accessible, caring, sympathetic and informational to our questions and has given us/mom the best care possible for mom in her time of need. Sandy went even as far as to recommend her opinion and gave suggestions to help us navigate mom's health needs. Wendy in the office has been very helpful when we had any questions and was able to make the invoices very easy to place payment. We are very grateful for our relationship with Sunlight Care and highly recommend their company and services.

    Sunlight provided a caregiver to help my mother recuperate after an injury. They were through in their initial evaluation and provided a caregiver who was outstanding and made a huge difference in her ability to gain strength. Changes in schedule were easy to manage and billing was simple every 2 weeks. If we need a caregiver in the future we will not hesitate to call on Sunlight Care to support us. The advantage of hiring sunlight versus someone on your own is the ease of the screening and verification of background checks, the payment process, and the ability to have backup or new caregivers as needed.

    We knew we needed some help at my mother-in-law's house as she had a hospital stay and was out of commission for quite some time. I researched several companies and am so happy I went with Sunlight. Our nurse came out within days of my initial call and met with us to review all the services we would require. Next our home health aide showed up and we liked her immediately. Helpful and personable, she took steps to perform the requested duties and so much more. I would be happy to recommend Sunlight to anybody who finds themselves in the same boat, needing someone to care for a loved one at their home.

    We are extremely happy with the level of service provided to our 95 year old Mom by Dottie from Sunlight Care. We needed a 3 week live-in and Dottie consistently went over and above during her stay. My Mom, who was reluctant to have a "stranger" living in her home, became so fond of Dottie that she was sorry to see her go. Mom had a fall in the bathroom during Dottie's stay and she handled it perfectly. We can't recommend Sunlight enough and will be using them again. Thank you so much.

    We hired Sunlight Care to drop in on my mother briefly in the morning and evening while she was living in an independent living facility. The Sunlight aides brought my mom the medication that I set up for her, brought her some cereal in the morning, washed any dishes that were in her sink, and generally made sure she was ok. I was sometimes in her apartment when the aides stopped by, and I was always impressed by their professionalism, good cheer, and kindness. It gave me great peace of mind to know that we could depend upon a twice-daily visit to my mother by a competent, reliable and caring person. I highly recommend Sunlight Care for in-home services.

    We hired Sunlight Care for my mother-in-law. She's currently in rehab, but we're very pleased with the agency. And when she gets out of rehab, we'll hire this agency again. The caregivers were wonderful. They really tried to be a companion for her because she can be a little controlling. They watch her take her medicine and make her meals in the morning. We only have them a couple of hours in the morning because she wasn't taking her meds and eating in the morning when we thought she was. They also do her laundry for her and change her sheets. They also take her to her hairdresser and they also kind of sit and watch TV with her, which is nice. They have been very easy to work with and have been very accommodating.

    We have been working with Sunlight Care for six months now. They help my husband with everything. We have a live-in caregiver. They provide personal care. My husband is very comfortable. With scheduling, sometimes it is hard to find a substitute if needed. They don't seem to have a huge number of people available to sub for my caregiver.

    Sunlight Care is very efficient. I'm very pleased with them. They are kind, and they listen to me. However, I think they are way overpriced, but I guess they all are these days. For the most part, I'm happy with all of my caretakers. They are very compassionate; I couldn't ask for a better group. I have been working with them for five years off and on because I have been in and out of the hospital. They help me mostly with getting ready for the day. They help me get dressed, they help me get into the shower, and they help me to get into bed too. There are so many things they do; they do whatever I ask them to do. They are very cooperative, helpful, and punctual. The only objection that I have in any way, shape or form is the cost. It seems to me that they are very overpriced.

    We have been using Sunlight Care since January. Our experience is positive. They make sure that they give my aunt her medicines. They also do laundry every other week. It is not cheap but it is OK. I appreciate the fact that the nurse who does the evaluation seem to be sincere and concerned. She follows up with the people if I have any trouble.

    We have been working with Sunlight Care for almost a month now. We have been very happy with them. They have always been very reliable. They are very good with my father-in-law. They are very willing to learn the routine. We are very pleased with them. They provide dressing and bathing in the morning. My father-in-law is very comfortable.

    We had contracted for an aide to come twice weekly for one hour to assist my 95 year old visually and hearing impaired mother with a shower and perhaps empty trash or set out breakfast (an already hard boiled egg and ensure) and perhaps was a few dishes in the sink. The intent was to provide just a bit of respite to an elderly person whose daily activities require a great deal of effort due to her impairments. Over 5 visits, there was never a shower givdn and on one occasion the aide arrived in the afternoon and chatted. Period. I cancelled the service. There was never any follow up as to why. My guess is that this minimal service was a financial burden to this company. The marketer with whom I met talked a very good talk. Contracted services were never delivered, This sevice was a waste of our money.

    Mary, I am sorry about your experience. Your mom did receive 4 one hour visits from us. The first visit was with a different caregiver than the last 3. When you called on Wednesday 12 /19 we suggested that we could try a different caregiver. You said you were not interested and canceled services. My director of nursing did investigate and tried to contact you on 12/24 with the results. Since she could not reach you, she sent you an email. In the email she explained that she spoke with both caregivers and learned that on the 1st visit your mom refused a full bath but allowed a bed bath. On the subsequent visits evidently your mom claimed she had already showered and refused her baths since she was already fully dressed. In the email my nurse offered to come out and discuss the process with your mom. At that time we would have tried to confirm what our caregivers were telling us. Four visits may not have been enough to get your mom comfortable with having someone bath her. It is great that your mom is taking care of herself now, but please don’t let this experience turn you away from home care forever. At some point your mom may really need the help. As you know, bathing is probably the most dangerous activity a senior does on a regular basis. If you do try again, I encourage you to give it some time and work with the nurse at the company to solve any concerns you may have. If your mom does not cooperate with a caregiver, just ask for a different caregiver. We wish you well. Vance

    It's been quite a while that we've been using Sunlight Care. It's been excellent. When we first transferred to Sunlight Care, we were trying to find the right person but they were able to always bring in somebody to try out to see how it was and eventually we found somebody who we like a lot. The caregiver is almost like part of the family at this point and she does so much. They are very eager and ready to try and help well as they could. Whenever we have a question they would call me, they've always been very responsive. A nurse comes in every three months and does an assessment. They let me know what's going on with my dad and what things might be better for him. I've been very happy with the care. We've actually had somebody who's there 3 hours, 365 days a year. She lives in the same town so it really has worked out well. She likes my dad and we like her. My father is in a wheelchair so he really can't do much of anything so the caregiver starts the days by getting there before dad gets out of bed. She cleans up a little bit and does light housework. Then she gets my father out of bed (but before she gets him out of bed she cleans him up a little bit like brushes him.) She then prepares brunch because he doesn't get up until 11 o'clock in the morning. She also gets the meds out for him (I go over there every Sunday and put all of my dad's meds out). She used to cut his nails but my father decided to get a podiatrist to do that. At 12 o'clock or 1 o’clock she leaves and goes home and comes back again at 5 o'clock and works until 8 and does the reverse, gets dad his dinner and gets him ready for bed. That's pretty much what she does and she does it all. She's very nice and dad loves her. She's a wonderful woman. The caregiver is there for three to four hours but when we first had Sunlight, my mother was alive. That time she took care both my parents. She was also very helpful that way in taking care of two people at a time. We had other companies but we are very happy with Sunlight Care. They keep me updated about everything that's been going on.

    I’m with Sunlight Care for over a year now. Basically I'm free myself and do all things here but normally what they help is vacuum (because I keep breaking in my furniture since I'm 99% blind) and drive me around when I have to go to doctor's appointments, shopping and things like that. I just had a young lady leave this past Monday because she has no means of transportation. She was here for about a month or maybe a little over. She was only 19 years old and needed a whole lot of training from the company but other than that she was okay. She loves driving and other things as well. The other one before her was alright but she tired so easily. When she vacuums the living room she'd get too tired and would sit down and rest. She was older, I guess in her 50’s and vacuuming was a little bit much. The first one was excellent, I want her back but she went and got another job. Her name was Erin, she was excellent. They're really accommodating and I’m very comfortable with them. They’re also comfortable because they drive my car and my car is brand new. They just love it. If I have a problem I can talk to them about it and it would be corrected. Sunlight Care is really great.

    It has been wonderful with Sunlight Care. We’ve been with them for over a year now. They've been very attentive, we love it! The people that work with them are great. The aide that they send in is wonderful too. I mean he's been with us for over a year and he never missed a day. He comes in the morning three times a week and helps my husband in what he needs - gets him up, gets him dressed, gets him showered and feeds him breakfast. Jerome is very comfortable with his caregiver and he likes him a lot. They're just great - they really are! They've met any of our needs or exceeded what they needed. They really are the best. We've had other home care agencies in and not even in the same league. We're very happy. Overall, they're very very good.

    My mother started with Sunlight Care roughly 4 years ago. My mom pays privately for it. The home attendant comes in four hours a day, five days a week. They shower, give her breakfast, put her pills out for her, cook dinner or lunch and do some light cleaning. She has the same home attendant for a while and we have mixed feelings about her. I think lately she hasn't been good as she was before. She used to take mom to doctor's appointment (she still does) but she doesn't use mom’s car anymore so mom pays for taxi when they go. It’s kind of annoying. I just notice that sometimes she's on her phone a lot as well. She's not as well guarded as she was in the past but my mom is used to her. I like some of the other replacements. I think they're better but my mother likes her.

    We’re using Sunlight Care for four years now. I've had great experience with them. The coordinator that comes out twice a month is very informative. My husband had only one care person that comes for a long time. She was good, punctual and on a regular basis. She did respite care as well. I was comfortable to see her here at home. My experience so far has been great. I recommended them to someone already.

    It’s probably coming up for a year now that we have Sunlight Care. They've done a great job. I've talked to my mother today and Dianne, the caretaker came in. She took care of my dad, cleaned and dressed him. She also made my parents lunch, vacuumed the house, did the clothes and even made the beds (she doesn’t need to do) but she didn't mind doing it. Luz, other lady for scheduling calls me if another person comes in. When they feel that somebody isn't doing everything they feel like they should be doing, they call me and say they're going to change the person. They do a good job evaluating their people. When other families contact me, I'd tell them that I have a pretty decent experience with Sunlight Care. I am happy with their service.

    My mom broke her hip around a year ago and we’ve been using Sunlight Care. Overall, we have a positive experience. My mom has gained some mobility and can do things herself a lot of the times but she just can't be alone so they help her get around and make sure she doesn't fall again. They help her in toileting (primarily they're getting down the steps for toileting) and in getting dressed. I think they assist her in bathing as well. The aides also help mom get her breakfast, lunch and whatever she needs. We are really comfortable with the caregivers. We did one replacement because she was so young and they didn't have anything to talk about. We could see a big difference so we asked someone different and got it. We're really happy now. We made some inquiries and they are a bit expensive but as far as their care, I don’t really have a problem with any of that. I wouldn't really hesitate to recommend them.

    It’s already been a couple of years that we are using Sunlight Care for my husband. Our experience with them is pretty good. They usually help with his bathing, dressing and in doing his exercises. He is mostly comfortable with the caregivers. The caregivers are always on time at the same time all the time. The billing is always on time and in order too. We are satisfied with them.

    We’ve been using Sunlight Care for over a year now. They are knowledgeable, understanding and helpful as always. It’s perfect. If there's something that comes up, they always take care of it ahead of time and if it didn’t work around what I'm trying to do is to help my father out. I have no problem with them at all. They help with bathing, combing of the hair, eating (sometimes), sitting down and having conversation with him and doing other things inside the house. They'll work with you to try to help you with family members and they're not intimidating to talk to. They really do care about the patients.

    We came upon Sunlight Care because my husband is a veteran and they are the only one in the area that has contract with the VA. It’s been several years now that we are using them. When my husband first came home, we have an aide for two hours in the morning who helps because he's in a wheelchair and his walking is very limited. Then we had them as a private pay because I slipped and fall on some twigs and fractured my acetabulum. While I was in the hospital we needed round the clock for George. He can't be left alone, two hours won't be enough so we had round the clock care and they were wonderful because my accident was sudden. He can't help himself when he is the bathroom, he can get his pants down but he can't really get them up, can't wipe himself and couldn't get himself to eat. We had people in shifts and my kids worked with Sunlight. They were on shifts until they could find a lived in person that was all private pay. It's been a huge help. We used them for over two years now going on three with the aide in the morning because I was able to do everything again. My husband’s biggest problem is his hand, they can't seem to help him. He can hold the fork and sit himself but he can't button buttons. The aides help in his shower, do his bed and his laundry too. They do a lot for him. The woman we have now always takes him out. Her name is Lydia. She really cares about George. If there's anything she can figure out to help like in walking down the ramp when there's a place where he can hold on to well or puts the walker to a certain position so he can hold on to that as he turns. Also, little things like if he scrapes his knee a little bit she would be very caring about putting the right things on it and taking care of that. She really seems to think about the person and what she can do to help him and I appreciate that a lot. She's very friendly in her manner to him too. We also had Dawn. She in particular would go the extra mile. If I just mention something and really won’t expect her to do it, she would want to do that. She was very caring about George and just in general a very competent person. Daisy was at night. She was a very special kind of person. I really was reluctant to drop her but I just felt that I can't afford it and my health was better. My I really liked her a lot. Then we had Sharon. She was with us for a year. Sharon was wonderful too. They really could stand out. The aides are very good people. It was rare that we had complaints. Some of them have been absolutely wonderful.

    There were few reasons why we chose Sunlight Care. When I first called we were in a dire situation, we needed somebody to come in pretty quickly. I spoke with Vance, the owner and he spent a lot of time in the phone with me explaining the process, explaining the company and how it works. They were actually located in the building next to ours so there was a little bit of a local connection as well. The other thing why I chose them was that I felt their hourly rate was reasonable. They've actually been great. They provide 24 hour a day seven days a week live in care. We had one woman who was there initially for six months and then she took some time off. They're well trained, caring and very patient. They come from a culture where caring for the elderly is REALLY valued and so they place a huge value on that. Most of them have been Christian women with great values too. They treat my mother in law very well. The caregivers are very caring, compassionate and trustworthy. There were really a lot of cool things that happened after we spoke with Vance. We went in the next day to meet with him to talk about using the agency and paperwork. The woman that was there (who was the nurse) actually ended up to be someone that we know from our church. She's a great woman and she's been a contact of ours. So we are really working with somebody that I trust and really like. We also had some insurance that's helping with the coverage but it doesn't cover all of it but they were great with working with the insurance company. They're handling all the paperwork which is just another thing that I don't have to submit myself. They're processing all the plans and handling that and then just balance billing me for the rest. That worked out well as too.

    We chose Sunlight Care because of the physician my father-in-law has been attended to. They come twice a week for him. They help mainly with bathing and changing his clothes. Sometimes they help assist him with walking. They just do a little jaunt, he can't really go too far anywhere. Other than that, I do everything else. The caregivers are very attentive, caring, prompt and insightful. I think they're very good, I never had any complaints. Their functions are more than what they actually do here but that's basically all that we require. I know they do other things but right now I just need just extra care once or twice a week. I haven't got a problem with ANY of their home health aides. They really listen to the patient. I don’t know if I just got the luck of the draw but I've been pretty lucky.

They help my mother with her medication and in giving her bath a few times each week. The caregivers are great. I have no complaints about it. I'm satisfied and would surely recommend them.

    We've been using Sunlight Care for over three years now. My mom didn’t really need the assistance for a little while but I did go back to them after a hiatus because I knew they knew her and I felt like they were thinking about her when they match stuff with the companion. At this moment, it’s just less than five hours a week but before it was full time. The staff is very responsible and responsive particularly the scheduler I dealt and the office manager. Some of the companions have been very good and beneficial to the client. The care is flexible and accommodating. I would ask some questions about the companion before they would go over so that I could tell the client what to expect. There are couple hiccups periodically. Some of that I think is due to the nature of the business where you are relying on people who say that they're going to fill their shift or something and then decide that they won't do that. If there's some replacement, some people would be content to watch the television and that's not the intent. Their intent is to converse or do an activity but it depends who the person was. Maybe they could give a little more direction to the companion in terms of stimulating activities. But I'd say it’s been a good experience with Sunlight Care.

    Working with Sunlight has been great. The office works hard to find the right caregiver for our needs and has been very flexible as our needs have changed.     Right now, we have part-time companion care from Sunlight Care in my parent’s house. The caregiver is very good, capable, and well suited. The scheduling and billing have been very good. We haven’t had any issues at all.

    Everyone was extremely patient. They understood my feelings and my father’s feelings. They were willing to address our needs. They were trying to find a way that both the family and the person receiving the care were comfortable. They were very flexible with his schedule. The staff was all dedicated. Several of them even came to visit him when he was in the hospital. They would also call and check with him.

    Sunlight Care has a very good backup system. Their aides are very honest and likeable. They do a good job. We've never had any problems with the aides. They have always been helpful to us. Whenever I have a problem with the schedule, they always work it out.

    Our experience with Sunlight Care has been good. There have been a few issues, but they were able to work things out. We currently have a live-in caregiver. She's helpful and respectful.

    We've been very happy with Sunlight Care. The person we have coming now is really exceptional and a major help to us. My husband was quite sick last August; he had 5 hospital stays. It was very good and most of the help was fine, some better than others. The one we have now, Julie, is just a gem. We're very happy with her. So far everything has been fine.

    Sunlight Care is a Home Health care company based in Cherry Hill, NJ serving southern New Jersey. We provide quality services that allow seniors to age and thrive in their own homes. We provide well-trained Certified Home Health Aides caregivers who help them perform the basic activities of life necessary to be functional, happy & most importantly - healthy. These activities are called “Activities of Daily Living” (ADLs).

    Sunlight Care also provides companion caregivers whose support is limited to household care, friendship, safety watch, and other “non-personal” support. All our caregivers are bonded and insured and have undergone a criminal background check and drug tests. Our caregivers who provide personal care with ADLs have also completed a specialized 76-hour training course, are certified by the state of New Jersey & have undergone skills verification by our Registered Nurse.

    Why use Sunlight Care? We provide very personal service. We answer the phone 24/7/365 & you can speak to the owner anytime.

    We are one of the few home care companies approved by the Board of Nursing as an aide training facility. The time we spend with our aides during training allows us to make optimum aide selection & care matching. We know our aides!

    Our aide's arrival & departure times are actively monitored via our proprietary timekeeping system. If they are 10 minutes late, we know about it and start fixing it.

    Our client web portal allows you to see your visit schedule. You will also have access to your visit history.
