My brother has stage 4 small cell lung cancer. His oncologist said there was nothing more the medical profession could do for my brother but make him comfortable. KU medical center in Kansas City suggested Advantage hospice. We wanted the transition from the hospital to the nursing facility we choose for my brother to be a smooth one however, Advantage was so dis-organized it added overwhelming tension for our family and discomfort to my brother. I will never refer this organization to anyone. Our family made the mistake of not checking into several hospice organizations before this decision was made and we are changing hospices.
