We're using Tri-Valley, Inc. Dudley, MA for home care. They've had a lot of turnovers in their staff whether it's visiting nurses or housekeeping. We have had a lot of handoffs. They work hard to correct it, though. They have the right attitude, but I don't know what's going on with their staff. There were months when there was no assigned nurse for my mother-in-law. There was nobody available. And I find myself calling and following up a lot. But they're good about getting back to you, and they're very conscientious. They just lack staff. And the follow-up is sometimes not great. They can't help it if they can't control the nurse shortage or whatever, but they try their best to fill the gap. But it's not quite good enough when your loved one is the one on the other end who might need the care.

Tri-Valley has been immensely helpful, working hand-in-hand as a cooperative with other organizations, like Catholic Charity. I have four days a week of companionship that I’ve been able to arrange for Cynthia to have and a housekeeper that comes in once a week.
