This company is only about billing. An additional employee came to our home with a regular nurse - uninvited & not needed and wanted to "lay eyes on the patient and just say hi" which is ALL they did - then had my caregiver sign their pad when I stepped out of the room. The nurse sent to our home -for two elderly patients - had NO experience and never answered a single question or gave any helpful advice - just said they would check on that and let us know. Useless. The gentiva hospital wing is understaffed and slow. All CNAs were outsourced and VERY young & inexperienced. Maybe an intern program. The main charge nurse was extremely haughty. The nurses didnt know how the (very sparse) equipment worked - popping oxygen tubes out on both ends, dropping parts on the floor, etc. at times it looked like the lucy & ethel show. If you love your sick ones, go a.nother direction!! I now have to live with making the decision to go with a group that caused my loved one distress and could not have been less caring. Our family was shocked and disappointed at the time we needed the most help & comfort. We immediately cancelled Gentiva hospice for our other parent and now are with a real doctor who actually sees his patients and a good home health company..
