My father was in hospice with Hospice of the Valley. The admitting RN was wonderful. She went out of her way to ensure my dad received the care he needed. However, the care my father received at home was subpar. My dad acquired several wounds under their care; and he was only prescribed tylenol eventhough he had severe pain during wound care. He alshad severe pain when he was repositioned in bed. If had had been given stronger pain medication, he would have tolerated being turned every 2 hours in order to prevent further skin breakdown. It wasn't until he had several wounds that they got him the type of matress that prevents pressure sores. I will never recommend HOV.
