The rooms were adequate and clean with plenty of bathroom space for a wheelchair. The food was also adequate with a very nice dining room. The physical facility was actually quite nice and well-kept with lots of open and communal space. The problem was with low staffing on weekends and nights, with few services offered at those times. Wait times on a call button were often more than 10 minutes during those times. The individual working were good people, but just overwhelmed. Management is a nightmare. We tried to contact them many times to arrange placement after rehab and initially were told that Mom was "at the top of the list". Insurance, however, ended rehab before a bed was open (lots of open rooms, but whole wings were going unused due to lack of staffing) and so Mom had to make a temporary move elsewhere. This was all noted in discharge paperwork. After this, however, we could not get a response from management about placement despite many, many phone messages and emails. Finally a response that "since Mom was pulled AMA from rehab" (!!??) they were not likely to accept her and that she was at the bottom of the wait list. When asked about the false statement about "being pulled AMA", there was no response and all communication in the following month has gone unanswered. New management will probably invalidate this review as the main problem is the management - not the staff or facility, itself.

Christian Home & Rehabilitation Center is a new facility. They can't take my relative in right now, because of the nursing shortage and COVID. We are thinking of choosing this place because he gets more square footage for a room. So it's kind of an actual living area that's acceptable. They have everything available right there. They have haircuts, if he has to go to rehab it's right there, and the nursing home is right there if he ever has to move over. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, and she showed us all the benefits of living there. They have snacks throughout the day and things like that. The facility is very nice. They keep all the assisted living in one section, the nursing home in another section, and rehab in a separate section. If they can go through the little store that is in there, they can go to any of the little shops that are in there. They have some little shops there. It's only a couple of years old, so it's very clean. It feels more like a home for my relative, and I would recommend them to anybody.
