St. Joseph Residence

We found my mom a place, and we got her into St. Joseph Residence. They proved to be a much better fit for us. They pay more attention to details. There's better communication among the staff. The food is good. People were sitting around playing cards, putting puzzles together, or looking at the tropical birds. We've got a very positive experience so far.

St. Joseph Residence's staff was very helpful and nice. There were a couple of them I didn't care for, but the majority of them were good. My room had been private so that was good. The food was also pretty good. They had church services, card playing, bell ringing, and Bingo, but I didn't do a whole lot of that. I did go to the church service, but that was about it. The place itself was nice. I stayed at the nursing home for therapy.

St. Joseph Residence is a very good facility and they take very good care of their clientele. My mother-in-law is in the rehab section, which was just newly-remodeled, so it's a beautiful place. The workers are very friendly and helpful. It's a very nice place and we're very happy with it. They're in the industrial park and the grounds are beautiful.

St Joseph Residence has assisted living there and a nursing home. The assisted living part was very nice. The lady I knew moved in to the nursing home part, and it was not very nice. It was not good, and it was a very bad experience. When she started out, she had her own room, and it was really nice. Then she was transferred to the nursing home part, and it was not nice at all. It was very crowded and cramped. There was a bed and a dresser. The dresser kind of divided you from the other person's side. It seemed that they have a nice dining room, and they have a lot of activities going on. The people were always sitting in the lobby when you went there. I liked that they were always up and about instead of always sitting in their room.
