We toured Lakeside Village Apartment Homes. The thing I liked about that community is that it had a lot of open spaces. It has a little pond with the cutest little ducks you've ever seen. They keep telling them not to feed the ducks, but they have them come in. They have a veterinarian come in and check the ducks periodically. And I think the community loves them because these ducks will follow people around, and it's just kind of interesting. I think the facility itself was really cute. It's going under quite a bit of renovation right now. Many of the older apartments are being renovated. And that's a plus to update and put new appliances in. So, I was quite pleased with that. Their one-bedrooms were tiny, but their two bedrooms were spacious enough that you would think they were very accommodating. The manager is a very good team leader. She has team meetings. She had just finished one when I came in the door, and I got introduced to the whole team. I think they're very aware of what's going on with the facility. The manager's been there for about four years, and she has made a lot of good decisions. The staff was very jovial and very happy. You could tell that they like being there. They don't have food on site. They really want you to be independent. But they do have community barbecues. They have bake sales where everybody bakes something, brings it, and they have potluck dinners. I think it was just bringing out the community. One thing the manager said to me is that nobody's a stranger here, and I know everybody. So, that was very impressive to me. If you have somebody who's a recluse and wants to stay in their apartment, they're going to get a visit from the managers or the staff just to check on them and see how they're doing. The ones that really caught my attention, they only have like, I think she said, there are 200 units. But the fact that they would come and visit every resident, and they would make sure you're okay, I thought that was really good.
