We toured Oak Haven. It's a very appropriate and very nice facility. The staff was very caring, courteous, and professional. The size was very adequate, the features were just what I think an independent living person would need. It's generally good. It's appropriate and adequate for senior living.

Oak Haven had very small living areas, but the area where it was was pretty safe. I know it is fully gated. It's clean and well taken care of. I'm an old country boy and every spring I like to get my feet in my hands in the dirt, and it's no place to have hands in the dirt. They take care of the lawn right up to the front door but there's no place to do that. They were great people, but I can't see myself living there. We talked to Wendy, the assistant manager, and she was very nice, very professional, and very likable. She gave us several questions to think about. She's very helpful. I think the facilities are nice. They're well kept up and well maintained.

My mom stayed in Oak Haven before. She was able to live independently at that time. It was nice. She liked it there. It is not just a senior apartment complex. However, she kept falling down and at her age she wasn't safe anymore. We had to move her to another facility.
